:rofl

Cotto was calling him out in 2007 and Floyd waited five years until he looked diminished in 2012 to do it then in his next fight Austin Trout beat him far more decisively than Mayweather. Classic Void.

Cotto: "Mayweather Always Makes Excuses" (Google this title to find the article)

Cotto says he is tired of hearing excuses on why Mayweather won't take the fight. "He always runs [from me], makes excuses on why he shouldn’t fight Miguel Cotto. I'm here for the big names. If he doesn't want to fight me than I can do something else. I don't know," Cotto said.

Arum shut it down in 05 at 140 and Cotto said in 06 he wasnt ready. Cotto probably wanted in 07 but it didnt happen, sometimes it works like that.

I would hazard a guess people say Mayweather has fought the best of his era because he hasn't fought the best of his era.

Cotto was a better fight for Mayweather in 2007 than Oscar and Hatton? Another classic example of tunnel-vision in this thread.

NOBODY wanted to see him fight Judah after he just got his ass whipped
Ray Mercer was scheduled to fight Rid**** Bowe and took a fight against a journeyman as a tune up and lost.....it still would have been an interesting fight but no way in hell was HBO gonna air the loser fighting in a heavyweight championship. :patsch Different era, where guys like mayweather would have been on undercards

i know, right. only a dumbass phlomo with tunnel vision would think fighting hatton, who wasnt even ranked at welterweight, was better than fighting a top 3 welter.

Interesting take so you are saying that because they haven't fought each other, neither Floyd or Pacquiao have fought the best of their era.

Hmm... Putting a little too much emphasis on one fight, but hey, it is logically sound if you take that opinion.

In 2005 the fight with Winky was close to being made, then Floyd pulled out.

Had he taken that fight and won I doubt many would question his resume outside of not fighting Pac.

Hatton was the champ and the draw, Floyd refused to go to England.

Only reason the fight happened at all was because Hatton stepped up a weight class and travelled to the US.

No Williams was not the best, But a huge risk for any WW. Lets be honest what WW has PBF fought with height and reach even close to Williams.

And anyone asking Pac to fight Williams is even more stupid

Are we going to ignore the fact Floyd fought at JMW against De La Hoya? yet Williams was willing to meet him at 147.

He's too big excuses don't wash. A champ fights everyone.

Now this is one thread that needed to be merged.

No one can say without laughing that Floyd Mayweather jr has fought the best competition. That is TROLLING at its finest to say that
