How come short fighters no longer use the bob and weave?

Especially the short fighters who want to win higher division titles? That style is a nightmare for tall fighters to go against.

No he did that in one fight against Vitali and he didn't do a good job. Do you think guys like Mayweather and Pacquaio could successfully implement the bob and weave and go up to 160 against the 6'1-6'3 guys?

I'm assuming you mean bobbing and weaving the way Mike Tyson or Frazier did.

Floyd is slightly short in the general sense, but for his weight class he has a tall person's build. There are better defensive options for a "tall" boxer like Floyd.

manny can't even cut a ring off or fight on the inside let alone bob n weave. He's as far as you can get from being a swarmer. Fighting inside as a southpaw doesn't utilize the unorthodox southpaw angles.

:good I think Canelo may be able to do it if he goes up in weight, but he'd have to work on his stamina and his headmovement more

You rarely see people bob and weave because it's what swarmers do. Swarming is going extinct.

I mean real swarmers who come close to break the body down before shooting for an accumulation stoppage. None of that bull**** where any pressure fighter is incorrectly called a swarmer

Bobbing and weaving is now a lost art. Part of the problem may be due to the amateur rules, as any time a fighter starts to bob the ref warns him about keeping his head up.
