How come short fighters no longer use the bob and weave?

Your questions make you sound like a troll.. Yes you should watch him, next big thing in boxing. His favourite boxer is Mike Tyson and you can see some of that in his style.

It has become rather heavily used amongst Ukraine's top amateurs, largely popularized by Lomachenko.

For example Dmytro Mytrofanov destroying Olympic Silver Medal "winner" Fred Evans.

Do you know what's happening with Khytrov? I thought he was going to be in the WSB. Also I haven't heard any talk of him going pro with Lomachenko and Usyk later in the year.

Not really. I saw a clip of him in a amateur tournament in Kazakhstan a couple weeks ago and he won by bodyshot KO, neither of them were wearing headgear either? Im expecting him to go pro, we'll see.

That guy was awesome. He looked unlucky to lose his final fight from where I was sitting. Any idea if he plans to go pro?

Because most people these days don't know **** about boxing.

Bradley uses it, but Bradley can't punch for ****. If Bradley had improved punching mechanics with KO punches, he would beat Floyd.

    Bull****.

It depends on styles. The best way for a shortman to beat a tall guy is to make himself shorter.

Even Rees had some success against Broner, but styles make fights.

Broner's ability to taking punches, his power, his size, his defense, and his strength, made him a terrible matchup for Rees.

It's a hard style to pull-off, because it requires a lot of careful training and fitness. THAT's why it's rare in an age where most Western boxers don't come from such harsh backgrounds and have plenty of comfortable opportunities outwith boxing.

In places like Eastern Europe, the Phillippines, Latin America and Africa, you can still find plenty of people from very tough backgrounds who are willing to put in the tremendous work to make styles like the bob-and-weave or stick-and-move work.

The "jab-jab-grab" style is a better alternative for lazy Westerners, especially heavyweights.

This was common back in the day. Dempsey used to do this on the regular.

People nowadays for the most part have no idea how to implement styles to beat your opponent.

The entire point of getting low and bobbing and weaving is to make your opponent miss and pay.

It's no coincidence that swarming starting disappearing as things got better for the generation born after 1945, while you basically have to go to the Second/Third worlds to find swamers these days.

Even Chisora really needs to cut at least 10 more pounds before he could be a REALLY dangerous swarmer.

Very nice showing. Brutal sustained beatdown. Impressed with the output and head movement, but what really stands out is the accuracy. Oh, and the body work. Holy ****.

If Bradley was a big puncher. Do you think the style will be more effective ??

If Bradley was a puncher, he would be a superstar.
