how come some boxers are not boxing fans...?

    after reading the article on charles brewer and how he said he did not fellow fights etc...

    i find it kinda odd that some boxers and he is not alone here, don't fellow boxing.

    i understand that there are different personalties, some boxers like tyson are boxing historians, some like oscar fellow boxing and know some boxing history.

    but there is a small number like brewer who don't fellow boxing etc...

    what annoys me a little is that people like people to be fight fans, hey if a guy like brewer who lives off boxing does not fellow his own sport...why should should a regular person fellow boxers like him...

    i don't want to single him out but still he is an example here...
    it's sad that a guy that who makes so much money off the sport cares nothing for sport or it's rich history...

    Who cares...All I care about is that the guy is entertaining inside the square circle. There's a lot of elite Football players that have little interest in their sport as well. If the guy doesn't care much about boxing beyond his own career, that's his business...and as a fan, you should only be concerned with how well the guy does his job in the ring.

    it's hard to cheer for a guy like that...and as a fan(i also box by the way)
    i have to say that it's disrespecting his sport

    yeah i get ya but your talkign abotu football.
    thease teams are gonna play each other what ever happens they are in a fixture/tourney ect. they dont need to scout or to follow the sport to find teams they think they can beat and bring the most money.

    yeah he doesnt know much about it, when vic darchinyan was calling him out :lol: his response was "if the money is right" he clearly didnt have a clue who vic was or know if vic was a middle or a light heavy. he was clusless abotu it being a prank.



    but he did name a few kronk fighters...and not the usual suspect in a hbo interview. with him wanting to be a part of the kronk elite,

    To some guys it's just a job. I doubt you care what some guy on the floor above you is doing at your office.

    Some don't have vested love for the game.

    also there is the question about guys like taylor...if does not care about the sport, why i pay care to see him fight...

    i mean it's your profession, you should know somethings about it...

    i don't expect most guys to know who was the lightweight champion in 1931 or something...but some guys do actually

    but to be a currect world champion and not know who the hell best pound for pound fighter is....well stupid...makes him sound like an idiot lol

    it's like a professonal actor in hollywood, saying that he does not know who adam sandler is lol

    Not everyone is like Tyson though. To some people it's another way of making a paycheck.

    For comparison, Fedor doesn't follow MMA. Some guys just aren't that psyched up when it comes to their profession.

    ahh fedor does fellow mma...he is not a fanatic but he does fellow it and knows all the top fighters...and talk about people like gsp etc...

    and his main passon is sambo it seems,where he still competes and you always see him at contests...and he went to places like korea to promote it...and he seems to be a boxing fan...
    so all the things he does,he fellows...espically sambo

    guys like taylor are idiots and in this respect i will always respect people tyson or toney,hopkins,joe calazage etc over him...


    and yes something like acting could be seen a way of getting a paycheck too but like i said find one actor in america who does not know who adam sandler is or robert de nero etc
