How come sons of great boxers are hardly ever as good as their fathers?

Tough times breed strong men and Good times breed weak men.

The fathers came through a massive struggle and made it against all the odds. The sons often come from wealthy backgrounds and have no struggle to overcome.

You see it across numerous other walks of life too.

Obviously he was decent, but relative to Floyd Mayweather Jr...... he really sucked. I should've been more specific.
