How come the biggest heavyweight fight in years is not even PPV?

We in the UK don't pay for your PPVs (including UFC events).

But I am not sure why a fight of this magnitude isn't PPV as its a huge fight.

Yet Wlad wouldn't fight unless he got 50% of Haye's UK PPV money..

Have you been living under a rock? :D

Yes, LIVE on HBO. Start time approx 4:45 eastern time.

HBO had a "Face Off" with Max Kellerman, Wlad, and Haye...I assume you didn't watch it?

Almost all of the recent Klitschko fights have been on UK PPV, why exactly should K2 give that up to please Haye?

Haye has fought on American T.V exactly one time. Wlad hasn't been on American T.V in a couple of years. They simply don't have the fan support in the U.S to justify being on PPV; especially when you consider that the fight is taking place on July 4th weekend.

A regular HBO licensing fee will generate more money for the fighters than a day time PPV would. Pretty easy question to answer.

What the **** is wrong with modern boxing fans in the U.S.? They get the most anticipated HW fight in years on regular HBO and they're complaining it's not PPV? :patsch

**** man, you couldn't make this **** up! :rofl :rofl

Yes they have, Don't you follow boxing? Not only were most of K2's recent fights on Primetime they have also fought on sky box office before. Vitali vs Lewis, Vitali vs Sanders and Vitali vs Williams were all SBO.

Not very many people in the states have any interest in seeing the klits fight. Wlad has his safety first style, vitali can be good but to be honest the level of competition has not been great so the excitment is not there over time to build them up. Haye is also not that well known but is exciting in the ring. I hope haye can live up to his hype but i dont think wlads chin is as bad as they say and haye will have to connect several times i think to get him outa there, cant see him doing that but wouldnt mind seeing it happen, a shake up of the division is badly needed
