How come the biggest heavyweight fight in years is not even PPV?

    Apart from Solis vs Vitali all the rest of the Klitschko fights were on Primetime PPV, I think the last fight before that that wasn't on PPV was Wlad vs Chagaev, that was on Setanta, as far as I know.

    US PPV fights are for fighters with cult-like ethnic followings, often which appeal to casual fans despite a lack of significance or competitiveness. This is why 9/10 PPVs are complete garbage. Pac, Floyd, Cotto, Chavez, etc rule the (minor/celebrity boxing) PPV league.

    Don't get me wrong i'm happy it's free on hbo but just saying this is the biggest heavyweight fight in a long time but i think this would have been worth it as a PPV fight.

    yea it's free on hbo here in the states only bad part is it's not live. So i have to avoid going online and watching espn this saturday.:lol:

    It is live vitor lol. This saturday Wlad vs Haye will be shown live on hbo at 430 or 445 pm afternoon on the east coast.

    Pretty generic thinking for a follower of this sport. Boxing fans are supposed to understand the complex logistics of actual reality. Maybe perhaps only at a certain level. Apparently.
