How come the Lennox Lewis vs Vitali Klitschko fight didn't go to the scorecards if it went 6 rounds?

I don't think Violet gave Lennox that ultimatum LOL Though I know with her & Lennox Mum, also a Violet, had been wanting him to retire for a while. Lennox had beaten Vitali TKO 6, Wlad had gone AWOL, Ike was otherwise engaged there was no one else worthy available. Lennox retired at exactly the right time A very rich man with a lovely wife & family & living a Happy Healthy Life. They all said " he'll be back " lol WRONG!!!!!!!!!!

Well Lewis was past his prime but Vital could never beat up Lewis. A fat out of shape Lewis still beat Vitali, took his best punches and stopped him. But Lewis retired because he had nothing else to prove.

LOS ANGELES — Riddick Bowe and Lennox Lewis were at it again on Friday, looking as if they wanted to punch each other in the face. A number of heavyweight legends were asked to pose for a picture prior to the weigh-in for Saturday night’s fight between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.

But as the middle-age heavyweights lined up and it looked as if Bowe and Lewis were to stand side-by-side, Lewis wanted no part of it and squeezed Bowe out. Bowe didn’t like the reaction and glares were exchanged like it was 1993 again.

“Me and Lennox have a policy,” said Bowe, the former heavyweight champion from Brooklyn. “If he keeps my name out of his mouth, I’ll keep my foot out of his a–.”

Bowe, 50, and Lewis, 53, are among a group of legendary heavyweights here to watch Saturday’s WBC heavyweight championship bout between Wilder and Fury at Staples Center. While Evander Holyfield, Gerry Cooney, Ernie Shavers, Buster Douglas, and Michael Spinks reflected on an era when the best fought the best; the glaring omission was the bout between Bowe and Lewis that never took place.

Whipped that ass is a massive overstatement. He was behind on the cards and in rough shape himself.

What am I supposed to see here apart from Lewis laughing at Bowe who acts like a teenager in the schoolyard?

In your opinion, is Bowe being an overweight fifty-something-old loudmouth more relevant in this rivalry than his chucking his belt instead of facing Lewis as a pro fighter? You do know that even Holyfield, who is on very good terms with Bowe, grilled Bowe for ducking Lewis, right?

I don’t know which part of “Vitali’s face required plastic surgery and sixty stitches” is unclear for people who keep talking about the cards. Lewis was pummelling Vitali’s face round after round - it wasn’t just one lucky punch or two. When someone’s face ends up looking like it was put through a meat grinder, talking about how he was ahead on the cards (and it was two points anyway, it wasn’t like six point after six rounds) is quite an agenda against the other fighter who duly wins by TKO.

All judges had it 58-56 for Vatali, but there was plenty of fight left and being down 2 points after 6 isn't insurmountable. I don't disagree with the scores or the stoppage. Terrible cut.
