How come there has never been a Hearns V Curry thread?

Curry's chin is not exactly great either. Hearns actually took on board a shitload of leather against Hagler before succumbing. Curry would never have handled that much IMO. Granted that was at 160.

    Absolutely.

Point I was making, if Curry landed with a picture book left hook then Hearns could be on the floor and not get up.

I actually disagree for once. Curry, for all his reputation was anything but a bonafideone punch banger and i think the McCrory KO leads many astray. McCrory was practically visibly shaking that night and he froze up embarrassingly. He's (Milt) also much less tested than Hearns. Leonard landed a lot of leather on Hearns without putting him out and i can't see Curry doing what Ray failed to do. Obviously such a punch could cause havoc but i really can't see it finishing the fight.

He'll always be known for his technical skills and boxing ability rather than his power. Leonard was a more powerful puncher. Curry was a sharp-shooter.
