He is so stiff and tense out there!

People call AJ a "robot", but he looks like Ali compared to Wilder.

No head movement, no upper body movement, just plods along.

Imagine if he hooked up with Canelo's trainer...

Because he has dynamite in his punches, he's never had to out box anyone, which I'd why he never had to learn

    Necessity has no peer

As long as he can get out of jail with his power he doesn’t need to improve.

At the end of the day a win is a win. In HW boxing knock outs are so important and he gets them almost everytime.

Also at his age he isn’t going to change very much in style now. The KO artist style is working well for him

Not improving? He literally said he worked on a left hook for this fight and he was throwing plenty of them to Ortiz’s body and even stunned him with one to the head.

Some people just see what they want to see, I suppose.

    Because he doesn't need to.

Apparently, he also has massive problems listening to trainers like Breland, who do the best they can. He prefers to hit bags and... scuba dive.

Serious question MVC!, do you have alerts for every time the name 'Wilder' or 'Deontay Wilder' is mentioned.
8 threads post fight and the first response in almost every thread questioning Wilder.

He is a tall hw, lanky with chicken legs. Started late.

Its a coordination problem. Other than punching small or slow opponents, His body type is simply not made for boxing.

Theoretically speaking: Nobody in Wilders body would improve his coordination that much.

Its like walking on ice in sandals.

    If anything, hes getting worse.

I blame his arrogance, his faith in his power bailing him out, his lack of IQ, and his trainer, who seems to be a yes man muppet.

Ive lost hope in Wilder rising to his true potential.

...its true, I watch him with head high & chin no t tucked in , stiff upper body wide stance where if he's caught he's off balance ...its shows he has the reach, he is (usually so much taller) he can keep his head up & just pull it back...when he's under attck he goes back in straight lines ...a big no no the way i was taught along with the wide ass stance etc.
He has the power, no one can argue with it, is more powerful than tyson...looks that way more skilful , NO.
More powerful than Big George could be ??
Better than AJ ...I reckon so, he's cagey but samrt enough to kep his range, Joshua is generally a cumalative puncher where Wilder is definetly a "Lights out" guy!!
Is he to set in his ways to change maybe ...but if he does cahnge it may lose something else...I mean look at GGG , since he's left Able you have to say he's not as sharp (IMO) . When banks was the stand in guy for manny steward at Klitchko camp he never impressed , even less so now. No I think Wilder stays as he is...in fact he is so crap at certain things in the ring it makes it more exciting lol hey remeber when they used to Critisise Ali, he's all wrong , no one should punch when they are gpoing backwards...Ali made is a speciality...(No I'm not saying he's an Ali)

It is a shame of boxing that this no skill windmilling barroom brawler can be a heavyweight champion.

Due to his late start in the sport I think Deontay will keep improving, however small. He just rematched a very game and experienced boxer in Luis Ortiz. Giving a skilled guy like Ortiz another shot was risky and I think that offset some of the gains that Wilder has made.

Like you, I am not a Wilder hater at all. But I kind of think a loss might actually be the only possible catalyst when it comes to him getting certain things fine-tuned and incorporated. He's got no incentive to make any changes due to having that "great eraser"... but the story is still unfolding with him right before our eyes.
