How Could Anyone Say Paul Williams Beat Margarito On the Illusion Of activity?

The west coast writers had AM winning, the east coast writers had Williams winning, objective fans had Williams clearly winning, and middle America had Williams winning. The judges got it right. Williams could not miss for the first 6 rounds, AM came back and did some damage from 7-11, and Williams sealed the 12th. AM's defense became better as the fight went on, and Williams coasted some rounds which put AM back into the fight, but the announcers clearly had Williams winning as most fans thought. You will not:nono , and I repeat will not change history:nono AM fanatics. Both AM and Williams missed a lot of punches in this fight. They both landed some hard shots. They say look at Williams face after the fight. Wiliams won. Contradiction...look at AM's face, jaw, eye, ear, lip and mouth after AM BEAT Clottey. You fanatics disgust me lol:dead :barf

The rounds in which Margarito clearly outlanded and outscored Williams, totaled in number at seven, were won by Margarito. So, there is no guarantee he can do that again. I don't think AM can beat Williams which is why AM will have to prove me wrong by taking the fight. I love it when fighters prove me wrong.

I think Williams movement was the main reason he beat Margarito. Also not to forget his size was a big factor as well. Williams was giving Margarito angles and was smart enough not to stand in front of Margarito the whole fight and take a lot more bombs than he could have. Margarito may start faster, but Williams movement will still give Margarito trouble. The big thing I think here is weight. Since Williams just fought at 160 pounds, will it be a little more harder to get down to 147? I certainly think it will be. So if he's having weight problems, he could definitely tire a lot earlier the 2nd time around and give Margarito a chance to land a lot more power punches on him. I think Margarito would win if that was the case.

Good post. The opinion that if AM started faster he would've won is comical. Williams earned his respect early. by constantly turning AM and kept up a budy pace. AM had no choice but to sit back, use defense and try an occasional bomb which is what he did early. As Williams punch output slowed down because Williams needed rest, AM picked up the pace. This was smart by AM. Starting faster may help, and it may also be a detriment. Check this: AM fans say if he would've started faster he would've beat Williams. Cotto fans say if he went to AM's body, Cotto would've won. Am's fans say, it wouldn't have mattered, he would've beat Cotto anyway. In other words, AM fanatics have their own brand of thinking, and you can't talk to them and get them to admit their man just got clearly beat.
