How could David Haye take Wlads best shots, round after round and not be hurt?

Both boxers were being quite careful in the ring. Haye was moving around a lot so catching him clean was hard, and Wlad was fighting against a very mobile target while being careful of his own chin. But still, Haye took some very good shots and stayed up right. The difference now than his previous fights is that against someone like Mormeck, he stood his ground and traded, sometimes walking onto shots. Most boxers fighting like this will go down. But against Wlad, he was always elusive and lessened the impact with his movement.

If both stood there ground and traded, then both would have gone down. But this is heavy weight boxing so standing and trading with minimal defence, is stupidity...

Haye won the event by refusing to be knocked out. The people's champion.

He got hit by 1 solid shot around the 3d and that immediately put him into full survival mode for the right of the fight, that shot also almost knocked him down.
Then in the 12th he got tagged by a 3 or 4 shots just after he landed his own best shot of the match and he was in full survival mode again.

When a professional boxer especially a fast one refuses to engage and is 100% comitted to just lasting the rounds its extremely hard to put someone like that away.

Take Vitali vs the safetypin, if a fighter is just in there to survive its hard to do anything.
    Same with Pac vs Mosely.

Haye just showed a little bit of defensive skill. He was able to stop Wlad from throwing because when Wlad did throw hard shots, he was rarely successful. He made Wlad cautious because his defence was good.

He lost the fight clearly but he did show limitations within Wlad's game. If Haye had thrown caution to the wind, he could have won the fight but he didn't have the mentality to do that.

Haye has a very poor chin as a heavyweight and yet Wlad, a supposed huge puncher, couldn't hurt him once. Haye isn't a defensive genius either and yet he was able to cause Wlad problems by simply moving.

Both fighters went into the fight with a lot of praise from fans and experts. Neither boxer did anything to improve that opinion.

Haye takes punches well when he rolls with them. But when he trades toe to toe with heavy bangers his defense goes to ****, and he leaves his chin dangling like a pinata.

Had Haye fought round 1 as he did round 12, we'd likely be talking about the incredible KO Wlad put on Haye.
Or we'd be talking about how Haye was always a china chin hypejob.:rofl

Gaye ran like a girl all night and lost every single round.

Only Gayetards would try to spin a 120-108 shutout loss as a positive.
