Come now be real, both mayweather and pacquiao have been careful about who they fought at times. I believe their resume are equal or one has a slight edge here's why :

First off you failed to mention that pacquiao beat a very faded shot morales, who was coming off a loss twice. remember before the second morales/pacquiao fight , morales was coming off a huge to zahir raheem, morales didnt even win more 2 rounds. he was at the end of his career. Pacquaio deserves huge credit for beating a prime barrera while mayweather also deserves huge credit for beating a prime corrales and prime castillo (2nd fight) and gernaro hernadez at 130 who was the 130 king when floyd fought him. I would have like to have seen manny do more at 135 and 140 . Manny didnt have a clear win over marquez and floyd didnt have a clear win in the 1st castillo fight. I felt floyd lost to castillo in the 1st fight and manny lost the 2nd to marquez, however i think the 1st was a draw. Now lets move on to the higher weight and assess that.

I think mayweather fought better versions of mosley and de la hoya. However in terms of hatton, who was more in his prime when he fought floyd, he still was 140 king when he fought pacquiao, so you have to give pacquiao huge credit for beating him at 140 where he was better at than 147. Also must add neither fighter came close to cleaning out any division. btw to counter your point about floyd at 140. I think floyd did all he could there because gatti was literally the only guy avaliable for him to fight at the weight. becuase tszyu had a deal with showtime and couldnt fight him plus arum didnt want make a floyd/cotto fight because he wanted to build cotto up more, and hatton wanted a few tune fights in states before fighting floyd, so at 140 i dont really have any issues with floyd. However at 147 i think floyd does deserve criticism and instead of retiring he should have try to clean it out. I actually think both floyd and manny were very careful about who they fought at the weight, neither one of them were that impressive at 147. floyd hasn't fought a couple of guys like margarito in 06, williams. judah did come off a loss but was still good baldomir was a bum, and marquez had no business fighting at welter. Mosley you gotta give him credit becuase mosley was a top welter and pacquiao camp mainly freddie roach didnt want fight at particluar time becuase they fought he was too much of a risk. It was good to see him a fight a younger fresh welter in ortiz. However floyd at 147 could have done better. Pacquiao at 147 disspoints me also, he fought marquez who had no business at welter, waiting to fight mosley when mosley was shot coming off a loss to floyd and a horific performance in a draw to mora, clottey coming off a loss, still a decent opponent though . Cotto was still a legit opponent although the uncessary catchweight was dissapointing, Athlought cotto was shot when he fought both floyd and manny he was still a legit opponent for both of them and pacquiao is taking a risk fighting bradley, so if he beats bradley impressively he deserves big props. Btw to answer your point Floyd is always going to be a favourite to beat anybody he faces becuase of ability, think about whoever he fight or even guys he didnt fight he would always be the favorite to win.

so overall i dont think either resume stands out much than the other. They are both very good but not really that special. They both did well at 130-140, however above that they both cherry picked and had questionable opponents, so overall I think they are equal or one may be slightly better than the other.

Morales was washed up, nowhere near his best. Floyd beaten Marquez, Pacquiao still hadn't beaten Marquez clearly yet.

This for me has always been an interesting question that tends to get debated time and time again for me i look at it like this. One is the who you fight kinda guy(Pacquaio) the others is a when you fight them kinda guy(Mayweather). I admit on paper pacquiao has the better names but for me his resume is easier to pick apart i know losses are apart of the sport but it has always irked me the wrong way that most of pacquaio's biggest win's come off the heels of his opponent coming off a loss or controversial decision.
You may call me a hater or a ***** but that's just my opinion outside of barerra I who i give full credit for EVERYONE of his biggest fights were coming of a terrible performance and that just dosen't make an Atg. My respect for pac comes more from his weight jumping then his actual victories but let's just state some facts
Pac's first BIG win he had was 2003 against barerra which put him on the p4p list/Floyds was in 1998 which put him on the list
Many say floyd lost castillo I (I had may/cas I 115-111 & may/cas II 115-113) so even if you believe he did he came back and proved without a doubt who's better/while Pac's biggest rival ppl feel he lost ALL 3 FIGHTS to marquez
ppl boost up pac because he was a underdog in some fight but floyd has been considered the top 5 best in the game since 98 there is NO ONE he could fight that he wouldn't be expected to win against.
comparing there reigns 140 and above you have floyd fighting corley who was comming off a controversial sd loss to judah brussles which was supposed to be a tune up for cotto who got scared and Gatti(140 champ) an outside of tzyu no other title holder wanted to fight him/pac has hatton coming of his first lost and a bad showing but still the #1 rated jww 140 floyd > pac.
at 147 the only fighter floyd fought that wasn't entering off a good showing was judah. like it or not he has the undisputed champ in baldomir (you can argue he should of fought margarito but i've yet to figure out what he had done at the time to be looked at as a bigger threat than baldomir) de la hoya at 154 who though he was a little old was still a highly skilled fighter an employed a 20 lb size advantage(which was the main reason ppl picked de la hoya to beat pac because they thought he would enter the ring at 160 like he did against floyd) Hatton(undefeated should of fought at 140 but hatton didn't have the confidence to fight him when they were both there) Marquez(i didn't like that he came in overweight but given that fact that an older marquez embarrassed pac this is a good victory for me) Mosley (was old but everybody thought floyd was scared Ortiz(slight credit after seeing the lopez fight this win looks a little bad) and Cotto(who had a renewed since of confidence) 147 pac has De La Hoya(many pick de la hoya for reasons stated above) Hatton (#1 jww Good win bad circumstance) Cotto (coming of margarito destruction and a grueling clottey fight still #2 or 3 ww) Clottey(which was a shitty fight but one if his few legit 147 wins) margarito(pointless fight) mosley(pointless fight) marquez(really lost this fight) and
bradley (actually lost this fight) 147 floyd>147 pac i think it comes down to how you rated some of there lower weight wins like I said barerra I he get's all the respect from me but Barerra II what was the point already dominated and destroyed him(pointless fight) Moralas he gets little to no credit for this one mainly because he was in the middle of a 6 fight streak where he went 1-5 and (his lone win was pac I where he entered also coming off a loss) and marquez(who again many feel marquez won all 3 fights) you can see the names and say pac really challenged himself but when you look at the details surrounding the fights it get skewed i'll take hernandez, chavez, castillo, corralas over that. most ppl just see pac as more impressive because he was billed as the little guy til you realize that Pacquiao at 130/35 came into the ring weighing the same as floyd at 147 so how small is he really it if you were asking who has shown more heart in there career i would have to pick pac because he's been in grueling fights and had to dig deep but resume it's floyd he's turned a who's who list of opponents that would be GREAT wins for anyone else and made them look ORDINARY the only fighter that i seen that's been able to make him think is castillo that says a lot

    Mayweather is better H2H.

Pacquiao has a better resume: Morales, Barrera, Marquez, Margarito, etc.

Barrera and Morales >> Corrales and Castillo.

    Enough said.
