How could one possibly say Pacquaio resume is better than Mayweather

resume means who you fought now a breakdown of what happened in each fight

 

Castillo was A class fighter at 135. Coralles was an A class fighter at 130 also.

 

Not really, when looking at someone resume you look at the losses and wins. By your definition someone like Glen Johnson could have a better resume than pac then?

B+ and B in my book. Both good wins, but 20-30 years from now no one is going to be calling them ATGs who belong in a top 50 list.

People are going to be making those arguments for Barrera, Morales, and probably Marquez.

You don't beat Johnston, Bazan, Casamayor and get "robbed" against Mayweather without being A class. Castillo was an A guy at the time.

 

Yeah but he lost to Morales the first time so it doesn't count, and the unnecessary rematch with him.

Only good win was Barrera on his resume, We know he lost to marquez so it doesn't count.

 

I didn't link those statement. I was just showing the difference in level between a Castillo or Corrales and a Morales.

Everyone in the top 100-150 are anywhere from A+ to A-. Some guys are only A fighters for one night in their career. Some guys come close for a couple of fights.

Castillo at his best was pretty damn good, but I'm reluctant to say that he was an A fighter overall. He was one of the bets in the division at the time, but there are a ton of fighters who were better than him even at his best throughout history. Does everyone on his level deserve an A rating, even when there are other A fighters capable of blowing them out of the water?

 

Morales was washed up. He didnt beat Marquez. His win over Barrera was great though.

When speaking on "resumes" you're only discussing WINS. And i would say Pac has a slight edge when it comes to just WINS. But in regards to their overall career achievements, you would have to say Pac is unquestionably the greater fighter.

This is a guy that went from knocking out lineal champs @ Flyweight, FLYWEIGHT. To not just defeating, but DOMINATING top Welterweights in non-competitive matches. Thats HUGE no matter how you slice it. Pac has once-a-generation-esque accomplishments. And as of right now, the greatest fighter of the current era.

I would say of fighters that have made their pro debuts within the past 25 years, the only fighter that i have comfortably rated ahead of Pacquiao is Roy Jones Jr.

 

BTW, Morales & Margarito are NOT highly meaningful wins for Pac.

I would rate both Cotto & Hatton over those over the hill shells he fought. Even the De La Hoya win was more meaningful then those 2 wins.
