He needs to be careful not to get cut around the eyes by "Dirty" Dubois' head butts like Hrgovic was. He needs to watch out for Dubois' low blows. Mainly he needs to make sure there's an HONEST referee working the fight, not one of old Fish Eyes' Queensberry men. And unlike Joshua, he needs to make sure Dubois is fully tested for PEDs. Parker is a better boxer than Dubois - in a fair fight, if he is fairly cautious like he was with Wilder, with honest judges he will win a decision (or get Dubois to quit).
I think Parker should come in as light as possible, be as mobile as possible. I don't think a bit of added power via adding weight would really matter. Dubois has a terrible chin, and I can easily see Parker knocking him out.
Stick and move. Use the boxing skills. Dubois has more power, but Parker is better in fundamental skills.
Use the jab and box carefully taking minimal risks don’t make the same mistake as past Dubious opponents who just teed off on him because they thought he was easy to hit. Dubious can take punishment and has good stamina so stick to the game plan of boxing behind the jab. Hands up chin down because Dubious looks to bum rush a lot of his opponents. Take rests when you can in the clinch the plan is to go the full 12 only go for the knockout if it presents itself.
Dubois is super dangerous when he is getting his way. But can’t vouch for him not folding again if the going gets tough. I think all around Dubois is not as unbeatable as he has appeared his last 3 fights.
Going off footage Parker's been uploading, he looks like he's putting on weight. I reckon he's looking for the KO.
Not as easy fight for Parker. Dubois will go right at him, behind that heavy jab and look to get him on the ropes where Dubois is lethal. Parker is going to have to be in good shape, he won't have long periods of inactivity like against Wilder and Zhang. He'll need to keep the fight in the centre, keep moving and keep turning DDD. This fight will be competitive and could be won down to conditioning. Dubois will likely go to the body a lot to try and slow Parker down and Parker himself should invest in the body to try and wear Dubois down. The 2nd half of this fight is likely where the fight will be decided. Parker still hasn't learned to counter punch, if he had I would give him a good chance of beating Dubois, it was a counter left hook that had DDD down vs Lerena. Dubois' offence can be is weakness too as he does take a lot of shots, as good as his performances were against Miller, Hrgovic and AJ, he got tagged hard in all 3 fights. If he can finally pick up a simply counter move that would increase his chances greatly. He has to watch out for Dubois' head, we all know Dubois has become a pretty dirty fighter. Headbutts will be an issue. He needs to keep his head off the line, perhaps use a forearm as a barrier to Dubois' incoming head. Dubois likes to exchange and throw in combination. Parker slugging it out with him would be a mistake but with his faster hands he should be able to unload a quicker flurry and then he should smother Dubois, prevent him from working. Stifle his work rate, by beating him to the punch and then smothering him. But if he is coming in heavy their tactic maybe to push Dubois onto the backfoot. Dubois is far more effective moving forward and on the backfoot he'd be far less of the threat but this is a dangerous tactic. It worked for the 2nd Chisora fight but Chisora was and still is past his best and Dubois is a far more dangerous puncher.
Parker has the skills to out box Dubois and this is what he needs to do in order to get the win. Parker needs to box at distance and also fight at a high pace looking to drown Dubois in the later rounds and possibly get the stoppage. The wrong tactic for Parker is to bulk up and try and take Dubois on head on (Parker’s team should have learned from the Joyce loss).Parker has to out box Dubois in order to negate Dubois’s power, yes Parker has been in with bigger punchers like Wilder and Zhang and won but Dubois is a lot younger and fresher so Parker has to box with movement if he wants the win .
Parker needs to box Dubois and not be lured into a shoot out. The way to beat Dubois is to box him and make him think by confusing. He is great when he is on top but not so great when he he consistently being boxed and things not all going his way. A guy who has quit before like he did against Usyk can always do so again when the going gets tough in my opinion. I also don’t like the way he seems to be overlooking Parker in a fight that really is a 50:50 fight. The blueprint to beat each guy is shown in their fights against Joe Joyce who beat both of them up.
