260 lol Parker will eventually gas at the pace and get mowed over. I think Parkers banking on Dubois quitting against adversity that isn't very smart
I saw in one of his camp videos that he was running 12km in an hour, as a standard part of his training, is that pretty standard for a 120kg boxer? The only other guys I can think of that would be doing that is Fury and Joyce who have pretty decent engines.
Barry McGuigan on TalkSport this afternoon saying he thinks Dan is the number one guy right now...as in best heavyweight in the world. If...and it's a big IF. If he beats Parker conclusively then beats Usyk conclusively, what do we think of him? Now, I ain't looking for a bunfight or a quitter/glass cannon etc reply here, I'm just wondering if he beats Parker, but more importantly Usyk, a man who is the best fighter of his generation at his weights, does that elevate Dubois to a generational talent...?
Apparently the answer to the opening question of this thread is "not get sick". Serious question -- these guys aren't bringing their own food and water prior to a fight? I'd want to eliminate all chance of something like that. I'd bring everything exactly the same as from my training camp, try the local stuff only after the fight. I'd even bring my own water supply.
I won't say "Dubois ducked haha lol" or any of that ****. But I have to say, I don't think his mentality was where it needed to be for this fight. I just get the feeling he wasn't as keen, wasn't training as hard, wasn't as up for it. Take from that what you will. I believe them when they say he isn't fit to fight and no blame there. Just something niggles about his top two inches and whether he REALLY wanted this one you know?
