How damaging to the sport would an outrageous decision be?

I don't think it's outrageous to argue that both Floyd & Manny have been beneficiaries (albeit to different degrees) of a gifted decision at least once during their respective careers (Castillo I & Marquez II), with Manny also feeling the other side of the coin, after unjustly losing to Bradley on points in their first fight.

... But none of these fights were anywhere near the level of May/Pac.

This fight is going to lure the attention of a lot of casual/new boxing fans, and I'm worried about what it could mean to the future of the sport if an outrageous decision was awarded one way or another. Am I over thinking this, or would such an eventuality deter potential boxing fans for life (or at least until the next mega-fight)?
