How damaging were the D!ck Tiger losses to Jose Torres's legacy?

    At the time the light heavyweight division was a place that decent middleweights that were being outgunned at 160 could move up and be successful. The light heavyweight division was a natural and middleweights usually had the skills. there were always a few natural big 175lbes like Conn, Tunney, Loughran, Moore, Maxim,Foster and Spinks that stood out....Torres and Tiger were really middleweights with the extra lbs so losing to Tiger at Light-heavy and losing to him at middleweight would be about the same mark against a legacy

    Torres was a middleweight for a long time. He won the title at 171 with pounds to spare within the limit. The funny thing was Torres was 161lb against Wilbert McClure in 1964 and in 1965 a huge 20lb heavier against Tom Mcneeley. For those days that was some serious bulking up.

    They pretty much dictated where Torres resides in the all time scheme of things ,imo.
