If he wins it strengthens his claim as a top 10 ATG.

If he loses it's not guaranteed he finishes as #4 of this generation, let alone #2, if he takes further losses to Joshua and Joyce.

Though this fight is for undisputed, win or lose it would look bad if he retired with Joyce still active and undefeated.

Joyce - undefeated, Silver (arguably gold) medalist, interim WBO, and older than Fury.

Fury won't fight Usyk so it's completely hypothetical

Joyce isn't arguably gold. He is the gold medalist and AJ is not a gold medalist. One is a bum bodybuilder who has been gifted crap his whole career. One is an unstoppable force who can only be tamed by Fury.

It does a painful amount of damage to him. I wouldn’t think it’s that big of a deal though since Usyk’s as skilled and durable as they come. I’d be more shocked if it actually happens.

Major damage if he lost to Usyk.

Yes Usyk is a generational talent, and is a certain lock for the HOF and has probably reached ATG status already.

But Fury’s claim to the throne has always been disputed between us fans because his resume is so weak. A loss proves that he isn’t who he said he was or what alot of people say he is. He would just become another heavyweight champion who ruled in a weak era, which he is.

I gotta be honest I'd be way more impressed if fury could beat joyce more than usyk, but maybe that's because I feel fury beats usyk and would struggle more with joyce, but hey that's just me and I doubt that fight will ever happen!

But boy oh boy, its a fight I'd like to see!

And still, Fury wouldn't fight him. Ouch.

Minor damage, Fury is a prize fighter not a pride fighter or narcissist, I’d say the same for Usyk, if either of them lose they’ll be little damage to their reputations as they’re both at the top of the chain.

If however one of them losses in the nature AJ lost to Usyk in the first fight I’d say there would be major damage.

I actually think it will be more damaging
If he chooses not to fight him at all.
Being a “proper fighting man” & all.

If he wins, I still don't see him as top 10 HW of all time. He needs a resume like Wlad, Wilder x3, Whyte, Chisora x3 (lol), AJ, Usyk, Joyce, and a contender or two. More defences, but he's old now

Riddick Bowe beat Holyfield twice, has way more wins than Fury, and still isn't seen as top 10 by most.. Usyk could be considered a modern day Holyfield in that they are the GOAT Cruisers moving up to heavy and have a lot of momentum, but it wasn't enough for Bowe, I don't see it being enough to magically save Fury's resume either

If he loses, he gets outed by a "middleweight" as a good, but overly hyped heavy. I see a lot of Valuev comparisons if that happens, even though Fury moves well.. "He's just big" is already a big way people see him

Depends how he loses and his fights after Usyk. So can be not so big, can be e big one, but instead of mid-level option (not that I am saying it will be so), the author decided to include the absurd "no damage" one.

Imagine what would it be for Usyk if he loses, as it's always about Tyson.

Not much, considering Usyk is a natural cruiser fighting a gigantic SHW.

I voted minimal. But I don't think an Usyk win would be a one sided victory, totally outclassing Fury. Of course, if that did happen, it would look pretty bad for Fury.

I think if Fury loses to Usyk, he would retire.
