A prime Louis I see getting inside and destroying Moorer in 8 rounds. But what about the post war Joe? The one that was getting knocked down by Walcott and rocked by mauriello, does this version of Louis possibly suffer a loss the same as Holyfield? I don't say it would be easy even with a ageing bomber, but could Moorer upset the odds here?

Did Louis ever fight a southpaw (doubt he did, probably not even as an amateur)? Louis might be one of those fighters who can adapt and fight a southpaw without problems, or he might be one of those fighters who can't see the right jab, hook, and left hand coming at him. Unless Louis had experience with left handers, who knows?

Louis would struggle but get the job done, split decision or something...Prime Louis would massacre Moorer

Prime Louis rips Moorer, he wouldn't stand a chance. The older version I see him struggling with Mike. Not as fast on the draw and been caught a lot easily. If Moorer could beat a, admittedly not his best, Holyfield then perhaps he might just take it by a close decision. But even the old Joe could still crack, as he did in Walcott 2, so maybe he gets drilled as against foreman.?

Its an imponderable Moorer was a southpaw and Louis never fought one.

I don't believe even being a southpaw would help Moorer against a prime Louis. I believe he'd figure him out after losing a few early rounds. Similar to Ali against mildenberger. I think the older Joe struggles against his jab more. The danger for Moorer against any version of Louis is standing direct in the firing line as he did against foreman. I wouldn't be surprised if a 60 year old Joe could still hit like a mule.

I think that even the Louis of the Walcott fight would have got to Moorer eventually.

Admittedly the whole southpaw angle is a bit of a wild card.

His later record suggests he couldn't!

I saw a decent boxer (won't mention his name) spar Ezra Sellers when both were just starting their careers. The other guy had not been in the ring with a southpaw before. He lasted 1 round and maybe 30 seconds of another. He stopped and said he couldn't see the punches coming. Some can, some can't. Moorer was a good puncher with good speed and fundamentals and with punches coming from "the wrong side", his opponent doesn't have time to learn on the job.

Oh he'd definitely lost a fair bit of power in his later years mcvey, but I still wouldn't fancy a right hook off him, even in his wheelchair!

Damn. That's a bad man not to see the punches coming from!
