A come from behind, latter round knockout for Louis...somewhat like Foreman-Moorer. He would be leading on points, and Louis would be bloody and puffed up, but ultimately, Mike's chin would be his downfall. He would have an untimely lapse and pay for it instantly.

Your opinion has me thinking Moorer could win this. Can Louis pull it out with one punch ? I don't think he can. He may have to be peak to beat Moorer

Does Moorer punch hard enough to hurt Louis or even drop him?

Would Moorer have been better competition for Louis than Wallcott whom the post-War Louis beat twice? Post-War Louis won 12 fights before he retired and half were by KO and TKO.

Yep, don't think he'd stop Joe but certainly hard enough to bang him about a bit I think. The right jab would score a lot of points for Moorer and would catch the old guy time after time. Maybe like Walcott, dropping Louis a couple of times.

I think he could have provided Louis with just as much to handle as Walcott. Different styles but both effective imo.

I am seeing a lot of love for Moorer here.

Obviously we don't know how Louis would handle the southpaw angle, but lets put a pin in that for now.

Isn't Louis just going to be too much for Moorer's chin at some point?

As good as Moorer was, he had better protect his chin, or liver/ribs.

Moorer had a pretty solid right upper cut as well as the right jab. It will be a KO for one or the other.
