Oscar De La Hoya is truly a class gentleman, and an ambassador of the sport. He always fights the big fights, brings boxing to the masses which keeps this ****ing thing alive, and puts a good face on not only boxing but sports in general.

Is he perfect? As a boxer or a man? **** no. Has he had some blunders, and made some mistakes? Oh yes. But I dare someone here to name a fighter who is perfect.....................(crickets).................

Yeah, I thought so.

Many of you are hating mercilessly on DLH for "ruining the sport". This is about the stupidest ****ing thing someone can say. People say he is the reason why PBF isn't fighting Cotto, but you all know that is bull****.

PBF isn't fighting Cotto because Bob Arum won't let PBF in the same room with Cotto. No disrepect to Cotto at all, I'm sure he would jump in the ring with PBF without hesitation, but, fine young fighter that he is, he is under Arum's thumb. And what Arum says goes.

You also say that DLH is the reason why fights are not getting made. But what fight is DLH stopping? He can't force anyone to fight him, all he could do is make an offer. You call fighters greedy for wanting to fight him, thinking it's an easy win, but I disagree. Fighters fight to fight the big fights, and the big names. They want to be on the big stage, which DLH provides.

And Oscar is not shot. All of his fights are competitive, and he actually won rds against PBF, something only Zab Judah can lay legitimate claim to in recent years (Hatton might have gotten a pity rd).

He's ****ing fighting on free HBO in May, and people still complain and *****. Why didn't he do it years ago? Why didn't he do it on ABC? Why don't you go **** yourself?

It seems all of the huggers on here hate him for different reasons. The Cotto huggers blame him for stopping PBF-Cotto, because they do not want to admit that Arum knows Cotto gets an "L" in that fight, and they also don't want to blame Cotto and Arum for this Gomez fight. The PBF huggers hate him because he was an opponent of Mayweather so he is automatically hated. That, and the fact the DLH can buy and sell Mayweather 3 or 4 times over (the PBF huggers are obsessed with money).

The Tito huggers hate DLH for exposing him in their fight, no matter what those Don King purchased scorecards say. The Margo huggers hate him because Margo was once DLH's heavybag, and also for the fact that for all of Margo "cojones", DLH will kick his ass if they ever fought.

The Hatton huggers hate him because Hatton got KTFO by PBF, while Oscar did not.

The list goes on an on, and frankly, it is appaling. Never have I seen such a great champion disparaged so much. Those that do should not call yourselves boxing fans. You are free to disagree with this, as I'm sure many of you will, but I, for one, wish DLH well on his final tour through boxing. I am have no doubt that he can deliver some magic moments that can remind people why he is the Golden Boy.

Then were is Arum's offer to PBF??? Why doesn't he just give PBF a **** load to fight him?? If PBF is so obsessed with money, he will take that fight, then fight Oscar again.

PBF Vs. Cotto at MSG during the Puerto Rican Day Parade weekend is a money bonanza.

But no offer from Arum....
