Styles make fights and I think Abraham probably would have stopped Dirrell, unfortunately, the fight was stopped due to a slip and an accidental punch. There definitely needs to be a rematch ASAP. People need to be more level about things. First, Abraham is a world beater and will easily win the Super 6. Now, it's "how did he ever win a World Title."
When he was on all fours and looking at the floor??? Very impressive.atschThe thread starter is a ****** but being equally ******ed isnt gonna help.
I do not think it is a padded record. He is a solid champion with a good punch. Dirrell is a good fighter, not many guys can outbox Abraham like that.
abraham is still a very good fighter and im still a fan(im still hoping that that punch was a heat of the moment thing), people want to throw him under the bus because he lost 1 fight and that is what is wrong with boxing fans, dirrell beat AA by keeping busy, moving very well and countering every time AA opened up, this is not something that a lot of fighters could do (how many people out there seriously have dirrells speed and reflexes) people need to stop over reacting over stuff that should not matter much, sure abraham got out classed, but that will happen when you fight the best(yes dirrell is now one of the best)
Hmm...Maybe it was all lucky punches on glass jaws of shitty fighters which took absolutely zero skill to deliver? That makes sense. All 11 straight title fights over four years were absolute flukes against absolute bums. Otherwise, this no talent hack couldn't win title fight to save his life. It must be true if he lost once. Anyone can win a world title fighting in Germany, if you get punched the ref calls it illegal, if you punch them low its all good, if you lose a clear UD, you win by SD Germany is the place to have a career.
With this way of looking at it, Miranda and Taylor are journeymen. atsch I still think he could win the tournament though. There's even a reasonable chance that Dirrell won't even make it to the semi's if he loses a decision against Ward, and AA 'only' has to defeat or draw Froch to continue.
Thanks for the gifs. Look at the Ayala uppercut... now tell me, whz in the hell was he not throwing that punch against Dirrell when this one was ducking on the ropes?! I think AA was simply frustrated and completely losing his nerves in there. I've never seen him so restless in the ring... it's funny how a hostile atmosphere and hostile treatment can come to the clamest and coolest guys too.
