How did Bermane Stiverne take Wilder's best for 12 rounds in the 1st fight?

    This...

    Stiverne's big melon head, lol

People should learn from Ortiz, you're best off just attacking Wilder, Ortiz had Wilder hurt in the first fight but gassed, he played it safe in the rematch and got nailed anyways... Just go for broke on Wilder, he got friggin KTFO with Head-Gear on before, this guy ain't Superman, someone's got to get past his right hand to that Glass chin of his!! Easier said than done so far...

I agree with this. Unless you can replicate what Fury did. Wilder gets hit plenty. A big puncher can blitz him. Or a puncher that sits back and looks for the KO just like Wilder too. He gives plenty of chances.

Most of Wilder's KOs are when both fighters are tentatively looking at each other at a distance. He throws and connects. Just like Ortiz got KO'd today.

That is the only fight where Wilder actually boxed.

Yes, but Wilder wasn’t able to get any good leverage behind those flush right hands, which is why Stiverne took them. Every time Wilder tried get good leverage behind his right hands Stiverne would beat him to the punch with a counter hook. Loading up the right hand was too dangerous against Stiverne, who was looking to counter all night. Too bad Stiverne has zero head movement and was a sitting duck for Wilder’s jab.

Stiverne was better at that point, this is why context is important, Stiverne was completely washed up by the time they met a second time.

At one point Wilder hurt him BAD with a raking RH and Stiverne lost his legs and tried to cover his hurt by desperately wrestling Wilder. It was effectively a KD. I think that was near the bell and Stiverne had a chance to recover.

Lol Stiverne was good? Who did he ever beat? A washed up Chris Arreola? Bermaine was a worse champion than Charles Martin. Bermaine was already 37 or so years old and took numerous flushes punches against Wilder. This and so many other things shows how overrated Wilder's power is. His power is no better than somebody like Tye Fields. The main difference is Fields has any less skill than Wilder. I know that is shocking. Also Fields was 6'8 270 pounds. So he was slow as hell. But in sheer punching power his power was at the very worse case equal to Wilder's.

Stiverne was very tough once upon a time. Deontay ruined him in that fight with right hand over right hand. He was ripe for the KO the second fight. If Joshua had approached Ruiz the same way, he would have still have those belts in my opinion. Deontay did fight very defensive, and used the outside very well.

My point is that he ended up hospitalized because he went 12 with Wilder. If he had an easy 12 round fight, he wouldn't have been in the hospital.

He was 36 and Arreola was around his best due to better conditioning. Nobody else knocked Arreola out before that.
