You will make new friends, my advice is to drop them and pursue your dreams. You don't have to make it dramatic or burn bridges though just stop hanging out with them was my solution, which shouldn't be hard once boxing takes over your life lol I have never looked back since.
i might have been in jail if it wasnt for boxing i had an anger problem fighting and getting in trouble all the time me mates brother took me to the gym one day and i changed and never looked back
Gilrs obviously, healthy, fit, abs, People respect me more. Discipline, humble, head always high but not being cocky at any time.
LOL girls obviously? Trust me any girl you get from boxing will be on your d*ck (not neccesarily literally, but litterally is good ) when you win but if you ever start losing bitches gonna be bitches
I don't really post on here much, but as I was just browsing around and saw this thread, I thought I should give some input as boxing changed my life dramatically!! 1. Almost cut out all alcohol out of my life. As I'm 19 that is a huge thing, my mates get wasted every weekend but my resistance is stronger than the urge to go with. Yeah, it means I stay home most weekends but I call it dedication rather than isolation. 2. Quit weed and cigarettes (although I was never a huge *** smoker). I had been smoking weed quite regularly since about 14. My social group of mates are all potheads and I was heavy into it for a long time, taking days off school to smoke at home, peshing before school, smoking at least 4-5 times a week. Boxing changed all that, although it was a bit of an uphill battle, November 2011 marked a year since the ganja have kissed my lungs. 3. Huge overhaul of diet. I was never fat or anything, in fact I was probably of the smallest build than my mates, but I cut out a majority of the junk out of my diet. Especially considering all the munchies when I got baked. I eat naturally as much as possible. 4. Confidence. Just that knowledge of the skills I have and the mental discipline I have acquired has built an extra wall of defence in my mind. Has done wonders for me as I had been through some tough teenage years and had quite a few inner demons from those times but the lessons I have learnt from Boxing training has helped me tackle a majority of them and win. 5. Respect. The respect my mates and others have for me has increased tenfold. I sense it in the way they talk to me, and for some reason some sort of reputation has been conferred onto me just by the fact that I box. Pretty cool eh? I LOVE BOXING!!
Who said i didn't fight? I Didn't do any licensed boxing fights but i fought KB and unlicensed boxing .. Also Pichuchu please note sarcasm, (or else its me not noticing yours but im not sure) :good.. You speak like you know me inside out and keep your eyes wide open as soon as you see my post. Once or twice is quite funny but then starts gettin a bit annoying
3-6, photocopy of my life also. The respect people show towards you increases by alot. I meet up with new people i never met before in a dinner and this couple discussing between them how much i Box, at first i found strange but then it seemed pretty cool. Boxing gets better and better, don't ALWAYS keep your mind into boxing like i did, be a different guy for Boxing. More serious and focused, but when around heck even here on the forum relax and even crack up a few jokes also post more. The more people we got here the more fun it gets since i always have Pichuchu scanning my white ass all day long even though hes a cool guy
Thanks for the compliment i know im cool . I'm not scanning your ass dw. I kept my eyes wide open to your post because you replied to one of my earlier posts yes? And i know i dont know you personally but i remember one of your earlier posts saying your fight got 1st fight got cancelled so i assumed u have no fights............ Sorry if i offended you
As i said i had 2 KickBoxing fights and Unlicensened boxing fight even though that doesnt count, no offence taken
