How did Chris Arreola manage to lose to Averagmek?

He lost because he's a tubby lardster with clubfighter skills, and no understanding of how to cut off the ring against a fleeter footed opponent. He was plodding straight after Adamek all night, totally ignoring any attempt to establish a jab or move his head, over reaching with his sloppy haymakers because he couldn't successfully close the distance, and getting countered by the faster and better timed shots that Adamek threw. Essentially he lost because he was worse than Adamek.

 

Arreola is the least skilled fighter ever to exist

He gets by on power generated by his arm fat catching up to his fists

 

It's different when you're actually in the ring. It's easy to look at Adamek from the outside and say he'd be easy to beat, but in the ring you actually have to deal with a lot of jabs, lateral movement, and combinations. He's standard, but he does it well enough to compete at the highest level.

Arreola can't box, peroid. He'll lose to anyone who has decent speed and fundamentals.

 

Lack of footwork and ring generalship. Arreola would beat Adamek 10-10 times if he'd work on those 2 god aweful deficiencies.

It's no wonder Arreola hangs around so much at the high Clevel. At least those guys don't know how to slip his shots and discourage him.:good

 

:rofl Arreola isn't world class at anything except for eating, and while I agree Adamek is nothing special, he is at least a pro who works hard, the same can NOT be said of Arreola who is a fat slob who is extremely limited maainly due to his laziness.

 

Adamek is better than people give credit for. The Adamek-Arreola fight was a close fight but Adamek did more. Arreola came in too fat and Adamek used speed. Adamek UD.

Arreola has been 20 pounds lighter since then and won all of his last 6 fights,5 by knockout. Arreola would be a tough brutal fight for Wlad.

 

Wlad would make him cry before the 8th round :rofl

Adamek doesn't belong at HW, true, but he has something that most HW's today lack: an eagerness to improve, and even though he's almost 36, been in the ring with some tough guys at HW, he still held his own (I remember that most people said Arreola would eat him alive in the ring)

I still defend my case that he'd be better at CW, but he went to HW to fight for real money, that's his choice

 

he was fat and couldnt cut off the ring coupled with the fact that adamek put on a clinic. I watched that fight in my room while friends of mine threw a really shitty party with wack music and wack people.

 

Adamek and Arreola are both good heavyweights. No more, no less. Adamek is much more skilled, athletic and experienced in the pros than Arreola and applied a good game-plan to defeat him that emphasized his strengths and nullified Arreola's, for the most part. It offset Arreola's clear advantage in natural size and power. Adamek is far from average. Getting randomly knocked back and around by lesser fighters because you're of a different natural size than your opponents does not mean you are not more than formidable, especially when you win, clearly.

 

if i remember correctly. arreola got hurt and also arreola was and is very slow but that nite he may have been in the worse shape then ever if i remember correctly. so adamek stayed on his bike and boxed him the whole fite.

 

Because he has no talent. Adamek ate him up. Not even a close fight.

Arreola is a chubby crying baby, he has a big fat belly and big fat boobs, he shouldnt ever be allowed in a boxing ring again

 

Adamek is not as bad as his performances against Vitali or Chambers suggest. He can be out boxed but he is a good all round heavy despite being on the small side.

Also Arreola is just terrible. He has a decent chin, power and heart, but other than that he is crude, slow and easy to hit. Looking at his recent performances against simply dire opposition he still looked poor, easy to hit and was even hurt by a c/d level fighter. I wouldn't even rate Arreola in the top 15 based upon actual ability.
