How did ****ell survive Marciano's flush power punches??

Please illustrate them.

The fact of the matter is that Don was fighting Mariciano for the World Championship and he gave it everything he had in the fight. As a result he stayed in the fight with Marciano and caught a tremendous, stupendous, horrendous beat down.

 

In a fight that ended with him on his feet.:think

 

Take another vacation and come back here the you remember how boxing matches are won.

 

I remember how they are won and ,more importantly how they are lost.If I was ever in any doubt I could always look back on my own decidedly modest resume.

Maybe it is/was an excuse, but it's not something I've come up with. Observers at the time thought Marciano was not as sharp, and probably lacking his old motivation.
Champs either do have good days and off-days or they don't. If Marciano's not allowed one, then carry that same standard over to all the others.

Anyway, he battered the sh!t out of C0ckell.

 

No he doesn't need excuses ,which makes it all the more excruciating to hear so many propounded by fan boys on his behalf.
Marciano didn't carry C*ckell ,in his own words he said , "my best punches didn't seem to affect him".
Marciano hit C*ckell after the bell ,hit him low ,when he was on the floor,and butted him,
He also demanded and got ,a 19foot ring to make it easier to get into range against the tubby ex lhvy.

I'm a fan of Marciano ,I'm also a realist.I expect to be classified as a hater by his fan boys,its par for the course as I said in another post.

I've no idea to what you are referring ,I'm English ,basketball holds zero interest for me.

 

Guys, very few fighters knock out everyone .. there is no doubt Rocky was a serious puncher, one of the better pound for pound guys for sure .. Yes ****ell survived many shots and yes he was a heavy 210 plus guy and maybe the weight does help but Rocky was also known to have an off night the night .. he chose ****le because he was a soft test to see if the nose damaged by Charles really healed .. in such a match up Rocky was simply a bit off .. just my 2 cents .. it's safe to say Rocky was a serious puncher, period.

 

Quarry beat Marciano? thanks for the laugh. Quarry was a good fighter, but Marciano was a great fighter. Quarry couldn't handle Frazier and he wouldn't be able to handle Marciano .

Please provide your source on quarry saying that about Marciano

 

I read an interview with Quarry in the Ring where he said he was positive he would have beaten Marciano.I don't necessarily agree with him but he was certain of it.
