How did Foreman generate so much power with such short movements?

It was just natural power. You would have guys that would be bigger than him, faster than him and punsh with better technique, but still would not punch no where near as hard.

Big George wasn't huge. He was big, but the media overrated his size, the same as they did with Liston. Ali was just as big when it came to weight and height. The power and strength was freakish though from George.

Which facts did he state? They were all opinions and random numbers he threw out there. He just has to hope Danny Williams ko's his next 40 opponents to match up with "Big" George Foreman's ko percentage. He also stated that Foreman had a ko percentage of 30% against opponents who weighed more then 225 lbs, and he was in fact wrong. It was more then double that number, and more then triple that number before the age of 42. GTFO and don't let the door hit you in the ass.

Vitali who couldn't even put him on the canvas. Briggs' heart is huge but his brain is complete mush.

Then why do 18 stone amateurs hit far harder than the 11 stone pros I've sparred with?

Technique is hugely important for putting your weight into the shot. That doesn't make it more important than the weight itself.

Shannon Briggs is a good and honest man. There is no reason to doubt his words.

Briggs is about as honest as most cheats are. Vitali's punches probably hurt him more because they didn't render him senseless.

It has everything to do with balance and muscle strength. If you are not such a strong guy, you can develop into a big puncher by swinging fast and furious with your punches like old time great Joe Frazier or more recently Mike Tyson used to do or like Pacquiao or Martinez do now but if you are not that "loose", more of the upright kinda guy, you use small movements and put all your muscle on short, straight punches like Liston, Foreman or Shavers used to do.

A combination of natural heavy handedness and absolutely freakish strength.

I mean there's the famous shot of him doing his roadwork while pulling a car in this vid when he was 47. It's at around 1.10
