Have yet seen Gavin vs Mcintyre. How did Frank look last night? Could you notice any technical adjustments like using his jab more, or moving his feet differently? Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks.
****. Why did Frank need to improve technically? His problems were all mental. Anyway he continues as an unbeaten former amateur gold medalist - so **** the dicks who try and shoot him down.
Sorry. Maybe I wasnt very clear. I don't mean he needs technical improvements. I think he has the best skill set in British boxing. What I mean is, did he start utilising tools that are stressed in the am's. I don't see how my point could be so badly misinterpreted. Jesus people really jump to conclusions on here.
How can you make a thread on technical improvments if you didn't see the fight? Frankie looked decent a bit jittery in the first round but that's expected, I don't think Frankie did much wrong technically with Arnie also before he was with Arnie he didn't throw body shots an they've been some of his best shots as a pro!
techincal improvements ? 1. dont **** off into hiding when you are supposed to be fighting 2. we all know what should be cut out
I'm not making any opinions, I'm just asking the questions? I am eager to see the fight and was hoping people might be able to articulate the kind of fight he fought. Thanks Waterboy for answering the thread.
I wouldn't say he's improved as such, just back to more of what we saw against the likes of Lomax. Obviously McIntyre had seen better days, but a lot of what I saw encouraged me. He was thudding home the jab much more and working the body. If he does that.... he'll go a long way. Sometimes staying with your amateur trainer is the best policy and making a few adjustments to the pros is the best way, rather than trying to completely overhaul your style. Arnie is a great bloke (I can say this from experience) but his style of training is more suited to the ''Manchester style'' right now than a technical fighter like Gavin. I think he'll have good success with Heffron in the next couple of years and attract more fighters to his stable and develop further himself. As a relatively young man it must have been pretty daunting to get Gavin as your first big job. It's something that he'll have learned from and take forward with whoever rocks up at the gym. For Frankie, he needs to be out every six weeks for the rest of this year. If they do that, it'll put him on the right path.
I am back out in six weeks first week in April could of been last in march but having a baby Thursday so think it's better, hopefully a title or good 10 rounder then the British I want but lts down to frank I will be ready straight home last night day off back in gym Monday but just running an circuits this week then training for fight
Good luck, really enjoyed your fight last night. Looking forward to seeing a lot more. Stuff's starting to shape up nicely for you. **** all the guys bitching as if they're perfect.
For what I saw last night I thought you looked good Frankie, just stay away from the bad people and the world is your oyster, easier said then done but keep it real x :rasta
Go and watch the fight, seriously. This forum was good for 1 day, with all the hype and talk in the Kiltschko vs Chisora vs Haye aftermath. Guess i will disappear again for while.
