How did Gamboa look out there?

Fully marinated for his showdown with JuanMa.

 

Basically like his vintage self, but a little more fragile, ragged and trigger-shy..and has lost a touch of speed.

 

He lost!

 

The crossroads match both of them need right now to keep themselves "on top". Just in the nick of time!

 

Perfect match up for J Corrales at this point.

 

Good win if you consider a fight with 3 weeks notice.

 

He actually looked good if you exclude the woe is gamboa commentary

It got terrible after the 6th rd when jones was giving rosa props for punches that couldve landed or max mentioning a supposely reddining on gamboas eye & his gas tank getting empty but doing good job hiding it while gamboa is basically vintage gamboa

If this performance was before his last 2 fights the commentary would be like the usual gamboa fights it was actually 1 of his better performances in yrs outside the crawford fight

 

This fight was for a wba mandatory position right, if that right Machado would beat him.

 

Still ugly in a botched plastic surgery kind of way.

 

no power an no chin. hes gonna get hurt if he dont retire. always off balanced if he fights some good he will get hurt.

 

Rusty at times. If Sosa would have pressed the inside game he could of most likely scored a TKO on Gamboa.
I am curious to see Gamboa again with a full training camp behind him
