Erm............ I know for a FACT Haye didn't stop sparring 18 days before the fight as was suggested by him/Sky/Froch on that media day.

David Price went sparring with him that week and some of the following week.

I broke my toe from kicking a chair in a rage, that wouldnt have effected me that much if the adrenaline was going. After the initial swelling went away, it was painful but i could still easily walk on it.

Not saying I know how bad a break his was.

George Groves was massaging his feet and Booth slapped him with a towel to work harder and he fell forward headbutting Haye's little toe.

Did Haye box Southpaw in the media workout as boxing orthodox would have meant he was putting most weight on the right foot?
Also, somebody posted the video of Haye getting off the private jet and he does not look comfortable on his feet.
I buy the toe 'excuse'. Haye had to lunge as he threw punches to get in range. As he punches with his right hand he turns on his right foot so it must have had some bearing on the fight.
Better man won on the night but it's always fun to ponder!

Cheers for posting the Sky link, already seen it but of course I'd forgotten. "I did fifteen hard rounds last night". Oh dear David!

Nope, he said he did 15 hard rounds.

"He did not say he was sparring"

"It could of been 15 hard rounds on the pads"

It would be the most ******ed thing, i have ever heard any boxer do. "If David Haye sparred 15 rounds, that close to the fight"

Yep, It was on pads i'm sure it was. As you say 15 rounds sparring before the fight is madness...

So do you not put any weight on your feet when punching the pads? Do you lot levitate when doing pads?

Anyway like I said I know for a fact he was sparring Price well after the media work day

Nah Agree with that, Just pointing out it was on pads. Tbh Haye's lazy on pads from what i seen he doesn't really work at a phenomenal pace but yep he'd need to pivot and lean on the back foot etc.
