One thing I will say for the Fury's is I do like Peter Fury (Hughies Dad/Tysons uncle) he seems a very likeable down to earth guy. Sounds like he knows his stuff to. But this kind of thing always has me wondering...were did Peter and other trainers like him get their knowledge/qualifications to do what they do ?

Good question, and the answer isn't a good one. He learned by himself, but he didn't start as a trainer, he doesn't have the experience of a trainer, not to the level of not knowing **** about boxing, but surely not being an high level trainer.

It's enough to see how he makes his boxers train. Ridicolous, absolutely ridicolous.

Random excercises with random form for random sets, repetitions or time durations.

Sparring without headgear, eating and drinking trash food all year long and then training like desperates to sweat off the excessive weight.

Anybody can gain more knowledge than what Peter Fury currently has just randomly watching fitness related youtube videos.

I doubt he even knows how to use a computer, and he surely don't read.

The problem is those kind of family-driven camps don't even realize how much they're lowering a boxer's potential, until their boxer(s) start losing bad.
Often they still don't change after that point.

I mean, you want to stay in the family to train your uncles/sons, for whatever reasons? Ok, but at least make the effort of trying to learn at least the most basilar stuff. Otherwise gtfo, and leave the spot to real professionals that knows their ****.

Notice how all the world class champions in the hystory had to clean out their teams, repeatedly, in the timespan of their careers. And they weren't ditching random parents, no, they were discarding and picking top class professionals.

ok iv no idea where your getting all this information but you do know that the fury camp employ nurtritionists and fitness coaches and the only one tends to balloon in weight between fights is tyson

and he looks to have started to get his act together now, and can you name one heavyweight his size with better stamina than him?

in fact Hughies stamina is great also and as he grows and recovers from his illness he will only get better

also fury has arguably the best stamina and strength of any heavyweight, if your suggesting they would improve even more by moving camp then he must be super human

furys technique skill and discipline in the ring have also come on leaps and bounds since Peter took over

If you have seen the youtube videos of team fury, that's hardly the work of fitness coaches. At least none with any scientific knowledge.

I believe Peter Fury is a good coach when it comes to purely boxing, but as regards to general fitness and maximizing physical conditioning, he's far from the best.

i'm pretty sure the fitness work they put on youtube isn't all there doing and a lot of it i feel is almost for show

the fact is no heavyweight around neat Tysons size can match him for stamina or stength and hughie already has great stamina and his still very young but still has the strength to fight fully grown men

is thats how well conditioned the furys are with terrible fitness training as the poster above my original comment suggested then they must be super human

Just watch some of the stuff they post on youtube and ****ter.

You will see how they do the most basilar weight lifting exercise with a form any 18 years old gym novice would immediately recognize as atrocious and dangerous.

Plus they do strange mixes of bodyweight exercises and other random stuff that doesn't seem to have any planning beyond the "move stuff, do something, sweat and suffer".

Yes, Tyson has surprising stamina and strenght. This doesn't change that the way he lifts he risks major injuries every time he enters the gym. And tells more about Tyson's natural abilities than Peter's skills or knowledge.

And no, they don't seem to have other coaches of any kind.

There's always Peter standing there with a chronometer in the hand, plodding around and making fun of the people he's "training".

Hughie doesn't ballon in weight, but he still lives off of fast food and beer. Or haven't you seen the interviews in wich they talk about their binge drinking, when Tyson drank an entire bottle of vodka in one session, or divoured an entire cake, and similar stuff? The entire camp looks like a bunch of teenagers fooling around in the gym or to the club in the weekends. Eddie Chambers looks like the most disciplined and aknowledged between them all.
