He was the man originally slated to fight Katsidas. Maybe Mick should have went down that road first, but then again how could he turn down this fight? Was the right move for his career even though it didnt get the result he wanted. Though from what I saw on the feed, which was admitedly pretty bad, Katsidas seemed to not be the same after the Casamayor fight. At least mentally, maybe he wasnt quite ready to be chucked inro such a big fight straight away after a KO loss. Seemed a little gunshy and lacked that almost reckless aggression that may have been what he needed to turn that fight around. Thoughts? Chavez vs Katsidas still would have been a great fight I reckon. My position on the fight is that I made the pick that Diaz would be to classy, like many thought he would be and that was the real difference in the end. Even all the little factors wouldnt have changed that fight around I reckon.
He def needs a rest and a fresh start with a new trainer. I would understand if he took a couple of ESPN level fights first if he got a new trainer which I hope he does.
