No Rubio is awesome. I mean he's beatin the top guys in the division like Jose Luis Zertuche and Enrique Ornelas. And he only loses to the best like Kofi Jantuah, Kassim Ouma and Zaurbek Baysangurov.
this is what pavlik fans on this site do. they go from thread to thread talking up pavlik, dissing potential opponents or people who wanted to fight him (williams, AA), and also big up the bums he's been fighting serious, espino, rubio and lockett for your first 3 defences of a middleweight crown is indefensible and pathetic, has there ever in history been a more pathetic first 3 defences of a so called champ? sooner or later Pavlik is gonna have to stop living of that beating he gave to JT.
Lemieux turned pro when he was 18. But does anyone now anything about his amatuer career. I know he was Canadian champ 3 times but did he ever compete in any international turnaments?
Well, at least Pavlik fans don't go around the forums trying to turn unrelated threads into AA vs Pavlik shitfests like some AA fans I could name. Anyway, is Lemieux really moving up to super middle? I don't like it at all. He was already too small for middleweight. Unlike most people on this thread I think Lemieux has the potential to be a super talent. Power is the great equalizer and he has a ton of it, not to mention some good boxing skills. But he's not going to be able to face the giants of the 168 when he's only 5'9" or something like that.
Jesus Christatsch Somehow I had the impression this kid was going to take a step up. Jantuah is barely inside the top 100 these days! Oh well -- Jantuah is an experienced guy who has been in with some top fighters.
I heard the next opponent would be a guy who "recently fought for a world title." I was hoping for LuJaun Simon. Lemieux would probably look good against Simon, and there is a built in hype factor since Simon went the distance with Abraham, and won 4 or 5 rounds.
