he's shot. He looked like crap imo. I can up it to utube if you like go utube a video of prime barrera against a journeyman. Then look at this Barrera against a straight bum. You will see the difference is like night and day.
Khan gets zero credit for fighting Barrera at this point. In fact if Khan loses 1 round I will be unimpressed.
Kahn should coast to a relatively easy points win. I still dont think he will KO Barerra but Marco has definitely seen better days.
His previous opponent was better and Barrera handled him rather well I remember. Of course he's well past his prime but I believe he should still have enough to KTFO Khan.
But Barrera is big enough (see: fat) that I think if he lands clean he can win. But seeing this fight (where he looked like Duran did in his later days.....out of shape, terrible) against a guy that could last three rounds with him in such bad shape.....I think Khan will outbox him for a few rounds, land some impressive flurries and force a referee stoppage. Seriously, Barrera looked awful. Let's hope the cut doesn't affect him too much (sure it will, looked bad, not a Calderon-style gash but bad and above the eye) and he gets enough time to get in shape and spar against some tall, fast opponents. I want Barrera to win, badly, but either outcome this fight will do nothing for boxing. If Khan wins in dominant fashion, he beat a 'shot' Barrera (and I actually think Barrera IS shot to be honest) If he wins in a competitive matchup, he had far too much trouble against an ageing, out-of-shape Barrera to prove he deserves (or has the ability to) compete against the likes of Nate Campbell. If he loses....well, if it's on points then he must have got Audley syndrome and stopped punching. If he gets knocked out, it's probably career over. Because if a man who probably hasn't stopped someone legitimately since Mzonke Fana (can't be bothered to check boxrec but I'm pretty certain that's who it was) can stop you three divisions out of his best (and six/seven years from his last decent WINNING performances) and who was never a HUGE puncher (damaging, effective yes, but Barrera was no Julian Jackson) then you really have a glass jaw that is not only vulnerable, but dangerous.
