Margarito deserved the win. He was better than his opponent who was a dirty fighter, learned to headbutt from SOB Ward.................
He looked like poop and he needs to retire and if he carries on he needs to fight a low level of competition. Even if he continues to fight guys like Jones he will get hurt, Jones was bashing him up and Margarito was saved. If I was Margarito I'd try and get a freak show fight with Mayorga.
he should go back to using plaster that was largely what enabled him to absorb such punishment into the late rounds. the knowledge that the concrete would eventually take it's toll on opponents. he is getting the karma treatment. i hope cotto eliminates what is left of his health, the filthy broke pig.
Tried to get the doctor to save his rear and clearly had no problem quitting or the fight being stopped since he was the beneficiary of awful cards. Not a good look for the guy who's prattled on about dying in the ring and guys like Cotto being quitters for years.
Margarito didn't look bad to begin the fight. He actually did a pretty good job of making Jones miss and countering him with a right hand or a hook to the body. He wasn't hurting Jones but he was landing. He was still getting hit flush here and there which began to really take its toll on him from the fifth round on. He would've gotten stopped or lost a close decision if the stoppage didn't occur.
Cotto got his pinky ass whooped Legitimately !! till he quit on his knees. He was fixin to quit AGAIN in the rematch but the doc saved his cowardly ass Margarito NEVER had loaded gloves
