Ok it's for the EBU (European) heavyweight title, but someone explain how this guy has got a shot, after his recent fights and losing to Tye ****ing Fields:patsch

WTF is the point of Alexander Dimitrenko, hes like Povetkin, fight anyone that is overweight or useless.

p.s fight can be seen at Garys:smooch

All I seem to be hearing on here recently is about fighters that are supposed to be relatively decent losing to Tye Fields.

Tye Fields will be getting some kind of WBA title shot soon if we're not careful...

I was shocked to see Sprott getting another shot at the EBU belt, you can easily find 20 boxers that are (or should be) ranked higher as Sprott.
I don't know the exact EBU ranking list, but I can't imagine Michael being ranked high on it even if he is a former champion.
Does anyone know if he's even currently ranked top 10 in the UK?

I don't think the fight would be a blowout though... Probably a TKO8 for Dimi or something like that.

I think that's the idea. Sprott seems to have settled into the role of journeyman, he's an opponent to keep other fighters busy. He's like the new Julius Francis.

Sprott's got no chance. Even if he wins he'll lose.

Weigh in. Sprott actually looks in decent shape.

He's a guy who takes practically any fight so they knew they could get him wihtout alot of trouble, he is still ranked (why I don't know) so they can get away with it, and he'll almost certainly get beat. Dimitrenko is going to kept safe fighting guys like Sprott while they wait for a decent payoff and inevitable beating against one of the Klitschkos to come up. He'd have a better chance of beating one of the brothers if he had some experience against other contenders, but of course if he loses the paday goes out of the window so it won't be risked. Unfortunately that's the heavyweight division right now.

I really hope the fella does it, ok he's been in some shockers in this country but he's also contributed a lot to the domestic scene (late sub/sparring partner) and isn't a bad fighter.

Go do it for your sister Michael!!

hope its on tv here, sprotts capable of an upset , if he throws the journeymans mentality away for a night, he could get him mid rounds. I hope so, he's a good pro, and derserves all the chances, and lets see if he makes the most of it. I THINK HE WILL.

I'm a massive fan of bad blood between fighters sometimes, but i do like the show of utter respect these fighters shown each other at this weigh in.

"If the fighters don't respect each other, its clear from forums like this............that the fans don't"
