How did Mosley, Cotto, and GGG withstand Canelo’s punches better than Kovalev?

Cotto was aging but tough as hell and very skilled, not as far gone as Sergey.

2 years later against Saddam Ali you could see that he was "over the edge" of shotness and was getting hurt very easily.

Golovkin has a concrete chin and isn't as shot either. But it's possible you will see him look weak soon.

Sergey is "over the edge" of shotness and the short rest after yarde didn't help.

Punch resistance deteriorates over time. Look at James degale recently getting battered by eubank

Or SRL getting knocked out against Camacho when he had a good chin before

How can anybody watch this and think this is a dive?

I get it. Plenty of things to dislike about Canelo and this was no prime kovalev. But he knocked the guy out.

Because they had too much self-respect to take a bribe? Krusher should be the one in the WWE not Fury.

The right one was not scripted, Canelo made it more natural, but the first hit and Kovalevs wobbling after this hit is very suspicious.

Judges were paid to rort GGG, Kova was paid to tap him in a sparring match and would still be ahead n the cards which wasn't to plan, chucked a retirement pay to Kova to take a nap in the end so the judge pre picked scores didn't come up again.

Because he was giving up 15 pounds to another very skilled fighter who was 10 years younger after being through more brutal wars in his career than France and England?

I said p4p and he stopped khan at MW. As for the rest, Jacobs, GGG, cotto at MW so ye they’re tougher tests p4p than Kova at this stage of his career hence why he couldn’t stop them. Only Chavez was of lower quality than even this Kova but the man always had an iron chin and was the size of a CW at MW.

Because cotto is 5’7 for a start whereas Kova is 6’1 with a size advantage?

Can you imagine if that same cotto was Kova’s size fighting Canelo with that same stiff jab? Cotto would have stopped Canelo.

He literally only lost a very close fight because he was too small, I saw his punches bouncing off Canelo.

Kovalev is not a cross breed like Golovkin who has some mongrel or mongol (korean) blood in him and some Kazak. This seem to breed strong tough boxers. Similar to guys like Prodovnikov and kostya Tszyu.

Kovalev is of that pure russian stock.Things i notice from the Eastern Block boxers from whatever STAN country, like Kazahkstan are very strong and robust can take punishment.

They didn't fight him a month and a half between fights and they weren't bound to a rehydration clause.
