No one knows how drained and weak Oscar was that night, Freddy Roach thought he was a dead man at the weight and told Manny to go for the kill though, maybe Manny's style always gives him problems
Oscar was dehydrated and weight drained ! Thats the only reason he lost to Manny !! It was pointed out by Roach so enough with all the south paw crap ! Like Oscar never faced a south paw or a fast fighter ! What was Oscar's punch out put ? It kills me that to hear the nonsesnes that comes out. Oscar could barley move or fire anything back with signifigance ! Yeah Manny's style caused him problems !atsch
Combination of 2 and 3. I also think DLH came in lighter as he would have liked to face Hatton at Wembley in his next fight, so I believe he was also looking past Pac.
No doubt, how can a professional fighter be expected to drop a whole 5lbs, that would take at least 2 or 3 weeks of diet and training and how could Oscar be expected to do that. Bottom line is Oscar was never a great fighter, no mater what age or weight he would have lost to Manny.
I agree it is as brilliant as it is common knowledge. Oscar was very good no doubt, but he lost every time he fought a great. To be great you have to beat greats. :hat
So your summing Oscar up based on his losses :think Former Gold Medalist Defeated 17 World Champs 10 World Titles in six diffrent weight classes not made up weight classes or catch weights ! Fighter of the Year in 95 Yet you want to say he was good ?:think
This content is protected People have to remember that almost everybody was saying that it was a mismatch...Pac was going to lose. Some fool was even going around and saying that Pac was going to get murdered with the jab alone.
Manny Pac is a bionic ******. All this talk of him following highly technical game plans, is aload of crap.
This content is protected ...but to justify the fight from happening and make it look like Manny has a chance was to put the notion that DLH was shot beyond recognition. I don't really think Roach or Manny thought that. Too bad, Pac didn't ease off the pedal, give Oscar some moments....like he does now.
I think that even had Oscar been tip-top...not prime, but Bernard Hopkins-esque, Pacquiao still would have won.
Even if he had stepped off the gas Oscar wouldn't have been able to pull the trigger ..Oscar had nothing ..
