Scoring was fair regardless of the ruling by the ref, there is no controversy.

Unfair that Baylees called in a KD even if the circumstances for a KD call required by the book wasn't there.

Fair because two judges scored it as they see it fits, which none in the rule book preventing them from doing so.

To be fair with Baylees, he was man enough to apologies to Pacman for the bad call.

However mere mortals can't understand the gray areas of any law hence this thread. :yep

Nah . . . 9 - 9 because Pacquiao was still winning the round even with that false KD counted.

If Mosley was winning the round it's 10-8 not 10-9.

No, 10 point must system - only when points are deducted for low blows does it not apply.

Makes me wonder though, perhaps the judges were mistaken but it's a case where the judges scores are final (except for NC cases like when a fighter is tested positive for drugs or something). Like in Pac-Marquez 1, 1 judge did admit to making a mistake in the scoring, (10-7 instead of 10-6) and thus resulted in the draw. This was a decision that would have affected the outcome of the fight and yet no moves were made to retract the score, it was final. So I guess the judges made a mistake, possibly because they saw that it shouldn't have been a KD but the ref called it one and somehow showing that a judge can overrule a call by the ref.

Personally I had it 10-9 for Mosley (if I were to factor the ref's call) since Pac clearly won the round but not enough to make it a draw. Whatever the case though, it's kind of moot right? Unless you're trying to push that this was a fixed fight or something...

Obviously the judges saw the replay that it wasn't a knockdown that the referee missed they scored it for pac.

I really thought it was a 10-10 round hence the 120 point for Pac.
I didn't have a problem with that one judge who gave it 10-9 to Mosley.
I mean, did you see how Pac came back after the "KD"?
That was what I thought made 2 of the judges score it 10-10 when the scorecards were read.

Apparently, if some of you are correct in saying that only the ref can award a KD, then the rules should be rewritten, at least to cater to an obvious bad call made by the ref.
If it was a close fight, imagine how the whole boxing community would react.
