How did Ray Mercer outjab Lennox Lewis despite giving up 7 inches of reach?

How many natural jabbers did Lewis really have to face? A good jab is always gonna be a problem, especially if you’re not too schooled on how to handle em. Mercer’s reach disadvantage probably gave Lewis a false sense of confidence too.

Mercer was an olympian and had a punishing jab, as well as excellent head movement. Reminds me a tad of James Toney in a way.

Mercer was never the man of the division, he was getting schooled by a very old fighter, and struggling to beat other Mediocre fighters. Like Ferguson, his best win is Morrison. He could beat everyone on Furys resume on his best night, but quite easily drop decisions all over the place.

Size = / = a boxer utilizes it. I've seen much slower boxers time their faster adversaries too.

You must be chugging bigger gulps of fury's semen than Miniq. The only person on Fury's resume who could decision Mercer is 40 year old Wlad. Wilder could probably ko him 2 out of 10 fights. The rest have zero chance. Mercer beat Witherspoon, who was a year younger than the Wlad fury beat. Obviously though, Spoon was washed up, while Wlad was at his peak, as any true Fury fanboy will claim.

you spew your prediction, oh seer of all. The only thing that is certain, Fury won't sign to fight him without at least a month of theatrics beforehand.

My prediction is that the fight gets made in the 1st half of 2023. Whereas you are a coward who won't make a prediction about whether the fight happens because 1. you think it's happening too 2. you don't want people throwing it in your face when you make a BS prediction otherwise.

You won't even be here if your prediction is wrong, being an obvious alt.

Unlike you I have integrity, so I would admit I was wrong and vehemently criticise Fury if he avoids Usyk in the 1st half of 2023.

Still no prediction as to whether Fury will duck Usyk in the first half of 2023. Pathetic.

Bruno troubled him with the jab, aswell as Holyfield in their 2nd meeting.

Yes and that is because Fury would never sign to fight Mercer. Instead he would go and fight Chisora for the 10th time.

Same Mercer who beat Lewis could have and probably would have beaten any heavyweight of recent times.
