Klitschko Usyk Lomachenko Golovkin What are they putting in the water over there? What can the world learn from them. The only way I can describe them is like cubans who actually deliver.
According to Viktor Postol: "...the main secret of Ukrainian boxing is hard work. And there's another secret — it's hard work."
I got booted for this bubba. Just ya know fair warning. I dunno where Ukraine got it's badasses from but I am convinced Ukrainians are particularly badass.
They have excellent trainers, a solid amateur system, past pedigree and a strong work ethic. They're also a nation of relatively athletic people of varying sizes, with a certain sense of innate swagger that allows them to excel at the upper levels against their peers. Compare that to Cuba where many of the same elements are in place, but they lose their desire once they turn pro. Ukrainians keep it together, even when they become multi millionaires. They aren't lured off track by fame and money.
Delusion is strong in this thread. Did we forget Floyd Joy Sinclair dominating from 1998>2017? Being #1 p4p for way more than half of those years, undefeated. Never been done before in the history of the sport. Floyd Joy is one of the greatest to ever lace up them gloves. Top 10 ATG, probably top 5.
This guy always delivers top notch analysis and answers. When he posts, read it and memorize it because its the bang on truth.
All the Ukrainian fighters seem like really good, humble dudes too. I can’t help but be a big fan of Loma, Usyk, and Gvozdyk. American and British fighters are often too arrogant for my liking.
I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it bro. You're in the elite league for sure. Also I always associate you with Boston because the Marciano pic and you're name "its ovah" is Boston accent.
I reckon it starts with the amateurs. The top Ukrainians had such good amateur careers so once they got use to the pro style they already had experience and skills to progress fast I reckon we’d have the same if more Uzbek and Kaz boxers turned pro. Cubans.. something always seems to go wrong when they do turn pro.
Cheers again. I'm actually British. The "It's Ovah!" is in reference to Lennox's commentary on the Maskaev Rahman 2 fight. I'm a big Lennox fan, and had him as an avi for years.
