Huge punchers tend to get overrated because people get excited about them very quickly. Even in match ups that don't favour them stylistically, boxing fans make the mistake and misjudge the odds of the puncher landing a huge punch eventually that would knock anybody out, regardless of whether it's Floyd, Pac or DLH. That has been proven wrong time and time again but boxing fans won't learn.

This is true no doubt, but if you watch the last 2 rounds he was going to get stopped either by the ref or by Maidana anyway as Maidana couldn't miss the right hand. Still a ***** move though ha from the Tree.

Its the job of a great promoter. Its what they are suppose to do, although he was a bad investment (atleast in my opinion).

Ortiz gave Maidana hell and dropped him 2x before getting stopped himself . Maidana went through life and death in that fight .

Peterson lost that fight and his "0" to Ortiz that night .

He probably did underestimate Lopez a bit and got his jaw broken in a fight he was winning on the scorecards in a competitive fight .

I would not label Ortiz elite , Yet hes a Good fighter .

But Against fighters like Thurman , Angulo and Canelo at this point i would pick Ortiz to lose .

Because he was dropping everyone like a prostitutes knickers on his way up

Max Kellerman right before the opening bell to Maidana-Ortiz :So far, everything about Victor Ortiz in his young career has said "Too good to be true". At the end of the night, are we still gonna be saying he be true? Or is Maidana gonna find out some things we do not yet know about Victor Ortiz

    Ortiz then goes and quits

Collazo is good fighter, has been cheated many times by criminal judges. Oscar owns Ortiz, so they is the reason he gets so many fights on TV...........

Because the majority of todays casual boxing fans are low IQ'd low information
bottom feeders who liked Ortiz strictly because he is latino. They saw muscles
and a poser boxing style and couldn't see him for what he really was. Smart
people like me did, and I knew he wasn't the goods when maidana exposed
him years ago. Don't know what took you morons so long. Oh, yeah I did.
Most of you are years on the evolutionary scale behind me.

I knew Collazo would give him huge problems, but given both mens inactivity, I was hesitant on speaking on this fight.

If both men were seasoned, I'd pick Collazo to beat O'trees.
Like Scar said, Collazo is not a joke, he is a crafty fighter, and a durable one at that.
