He hasnt, they are not North Irish Deontay Wilder fans they are a mixture of Tyson Fury fans and kids who dont really know or care who either of the big Boxers are but they will try to get an autograph or seflie with some celebrities. Absolutly no doubt that his profile has raised over this last year or so but dont think all of a sudden hes loved world round, you need to do more than ko bums and shout alot to be a world superstar.
Deontay has had no choice but to ice "bums" as you call them. The top heavies are all terrified of him outside of Ortiz. Who, by the way, Eddie won't let AJ or Whyte anywhere near. Eddie and his DaysInn streaming service have quickly been outed as frauds. Turning down a guaranteed $80 mil for 2 fights!!!! It's beyond comical at this point. Eddie's robot is now fighting a 39 year old midget, who got destroyed by Klitschko 5 years ago, and was so scared of Deontay he had to try and cheat. Meanwhile, Wilder gets Fury for the Lineal Heavyweight Championship, in the biggest fight of the year. Karma is a ***** Eddie! It just doesn't get any better than that.
Casual fans who buy PPV's don't have the strict criteria as die hard fans. Two big dudes, undefeated finishing the deal without haggling in the media is good enough for them. Wilder is the B side, popular IMO.
