I doubt there are many here who have not seen this epic brawl from 1991, easily the best fight ever aired on the USA network's Tuesday Night Fights. A great belnd of styles, and in my opinion at least a very difficult fight to score. So many punches thrown, it was down to whether you liked the aggressor or the guy who was throwing as much but backing up, and landing with more power. Savage stuff, just a spectacular fight.

What were your scorecards? Did you find it difficult to score? I had it 115-114 Kelley, much closer than the judges did. Here it is, score for yourselves, if you haven't.

I never cared for Kevin Kelley and all the hype HBO was giving him up to his title loss to Al Gonzalez in circa--'94... Kelley's skills faded fast and he just hanged around as a name for the next decade...

I recall Troy Dorsey was screwed in a title fight at 126 against Jorge Paez in 1990 or so... Christ, the yrs fly by.... I heard Dorsey deserved the nod but got reamed on the cards against Paez...

Dorsey got robbed in both Paez fights. The first one was downright absurd with Dorsey plainly winning all but two or three rounds, to the point that it verged on noncompetitiveness at certain points. Rubbish decision. The second fight was another obvious Dorsey win but this was just your average robbery. Not a huge fan of Dorsey but those outcomes were just ****ing WRONG!

Wow; I guess it goes to show just how much this fight boils down to whose style you like. I like Dorsey, love his ethic here, but I think there were many rounds where Kelley was giving more than he was getting, such as the 8th and 9th, where he was keeping Dorsey off him just a bit and landing really well.

Kelley was over-hyped and had a short prime... By 1995, Kelley was pretty smelly...

Its been a while since I watched it but I remember that I thought Dorsey was short changed.
