This is one absurd set of statements. Joe boxed his usual high energy, high volume and dictated a breathtaking pace that took Bernard to gas out late but he was absolutely clueless for the entire first half of the fight, hitting thin air, arm punching and with the inside of his gloves, not even pity-patting, he was slapping his way through and eating bombs that almost drove him again to the canvas in the last seconds of each round. Anyone with a lil bit of sense knows that they both cancelled each other but Joe was the aggressor throughout and finished strong so the win was for him, now not knowing how it was close, c'mon, Enzo said at midstage to Joe that they were losing it!

I was thankful that it was over. I had given up really scoring it as it was such a dreadful fight to watch. I had gotten pretty drunk in an attempt to dull the pain of watching such a dull fight.

I thought Calzaghe had won easily due to being busier, but then I was off my face drunk by the end so my judgement was impaired.

I was glad they never had a rematch, can't imagine anyone paying to watch a repeat of that fight.

It was a good feeling to know Hopkins lost to a "white boy"...

Calzaghe stepped into Hopkins backyard, and won the legit lineal LHW CHampionship of the world against corrupt refereeing and judging. That would have been a clear UD anywhere but Hopkins home of America

It was a 175 pound version of Byrd vs Ruiz.

I thought Calzaghe won convincingly, I mean Hopkins got like the first 3 rounds or something, but then I remember him being a ***** and trying to fake low blows and playing his dirty tricks to win the fight. It was a close fight but Hopkins didn't do much in the later rounds, he was just making it a really ugly fight to win.
