this is completely right, pascal knew he lost the fight, he was very lucky with a draw. In the postfight interview b-hop also said they robbed him and now pascal would say that he thought he had won the fight, which he did a few minutes later.
I never sat down and scored the fight round by round, but off my impression by the end of the fight I thought a draw was justifiable. It was a lot like the 1st Marquez - Pacquiao fight where one guy was getting thoroughly schooled and dominated for most of the rounds, but the early knockdowns kept him in the fight.
Your post #55 above. My post # 52 below. WTF are you on about :nut. What is bias with me saying a draw seemed a fair call when I initially said I thought Pascal won, posted my card which someone else mirrored but said when rewatching saw a draw. Hows that bias? 2 judges scored a draw. Maybe you are the bias ***** . You are the one trying to insult, so I guess it speaks for itself muppet atsch Not bias :?
I had it a draw i made a thread on it dont member the particulars 1st kd round was 10-9 2nd one was 10-8
yeah and he pointed out the fact that after the fight he had his hands up and knew he won and that pascal had that look on his face that his belt was gone
I personally didn't like Hopkins to say that J Pascal was supposed to get to a 45 year old man b'cause he connected on him the same way he did on Dawson. No timing, no sense of distance, doesn't pace himself, rushes fast on his opponent and throws clubbing shots like the one he illegally knocked down Hopkins with in the end of 1st. The only two things I give significantly to Pascal is that he has a good chin and fast hands. Even so, Hopkins came from behind and controlled most of the fight so he didn't deserve to lose. I don't see what can J P do better but I can see Hopkins do worse.
I was not there. I am not from Canada. I don't care one way or the other about Hopkins or Pascal. I thought Hopkins gave a good account of himself (especially following his performance against RJJ), but Pascal won the fight.
Depends on your definition of robbed. I don't like to use that word unless it's a real travesty like Bute-Andrade 1 or Augustus-Burton, but Hopkins clearly won the fight. VERY clearly.
