I had it 7-5 for Jack but just as satisfied with a draw or 7-5 to Stevenson. Quite a few close rounds. Will watch it again at some point. EDIT: Would just like to add, a draw is never satisfying IMO. That was a poor choice of words from myself. I just meant I can agree that the draw was a fair result.
I had it 7-5 Jack, but was okay with the draw, since a few of the earlier rounds could've went either way and Jack foolishly letup in the 10th and 11th rounds. Also, I think Jack should've lost a point for throwing at least 4-5 intentional low blows.
in rounds....7-5 The Pimp. In scoring, I had two 10-8 rounds, one for Jack and one for The Pimp so still a win for The Pimp. Jack gave away 5 out of the first 6 rounds to The Pimp. Hard to win a decision that way. The Showtime guys kept mentioning late in the fight that all it would take for The Pimp to win or draw was to win a close round late in the fight.
I am not a Stevenson fan but I have to say a draw was in the realm of possibility. Had Jack not been seriously hurt and holding on from the body shot in round 10, Jack would have gotten the decision but he allowed Stevenson back in the fight. I thought Jack won the fight but Stevenson did enough to allow it to be a majority draw.
I agree with this. This reminds me of Peterson literally doing nothing for 6-7 rounds against Danny Garcia and then having 4-5 strong rounds, but being disappointed that he didn't get the decision. When will these guys learn that they have to produce some offense through all 12 of the rounds if they want that decision.
I had Jack just edging it. I have absolutely no problem with a draw though, it was a close fight and a few of those rounds were so tight.
Draw The couple closest rounds of the fight I scored to Adonis, so if I sympathize with one score over the other it would probably be to lean Jacks' way. Draw was fair in this fight and a refreshing result to see.
Card Stev- Jack 10-9 10-9 10-9 10-9 10-9 9-10 9-10 9-10 9-10 10-9 9-10 10-9 115-113 to Stevenson I could easily have scored it as 114-114.
I felt he got wrecked in the 12th too. Also, I feel Adonis won the 11th and am not sure what in the hell people were watching in the 10th round to give it to him and also in some way that warranted, "well, well, Adonis won that 10th big!" He won the 11th big. He got his ass whooped on for the first 2:15 of the 10th. And he didn't successfully follow up on the body shot that had Jack wilted and looking out of it. I only watched it the once live, I want to give myself a rewatch before I dig my hands in the dirt, but was shocked when I read through the RBR and saw people thought the 10th was good for Adonis (edit: in the immediate scoring aspect of the round itself).
Draw. You can't give away that many rounds and not be perfect down the stretch. As Farhood noted, one of the faults of the 10 point must is that it weights slow and inactive rounds the same as action packed ones. Adonis bailed himself out with that wicked body shot in the 10th that deflated Jack. Good fight, tho. Dramatic and entertaining after a slow build up.
