press row had it either a draw or 115-113 stevenson. sure if you didn't score round by round it might have seem like jack won. but dropping 5-6 or 6-6 of the first 6 rounds. he needed to either win every round 7-12 or score a 10-8 round to end up the decision. clearly jaw was saving up his energy to fight strong in the last rounds and hell 7-8 and 9 he won wide (but seriously no 10-8 rounds) the 10th and 11th stevenson got his second wind.
Close round imo. Stevenson tired badly in the second half of that round and I thought Jack did the cleaner work.
Correct it was close. And he won round 10 by the skin of his teeth in the last 45 seconds, contrary to what some are claiming.

I didnt really score the fight live but thought it was a draw. When i rewatched today i scored it 7-5 Jack with that said a draw is a fair outcome and there should be an immediate rematch.
I agree with this overall but I have a problem with the way the scoring system is supposed to be applied. Jack won rounds more decisively. Even though Stevenson stacked up rounds early because Jack wasn't doing anything, Jack more than overcame those early round deficits. If I were a judge I would certainly take into account the overall balance of the fight. So even if a fighter won more rounds that were close and the other fighter won fewer but much more decisively, I think I would be inclined to factor that in when rendering a decision. I know a purist would say you can't do that but I think you either can or should be allowed to.
