High-level poll, post your scorecards in the thread. :good Let's see which way it should've gone, I scored it 117-113 to Chilemba.
had it a draw, best decision really, neither of them lit the place up. could be a clash of styles but bellow seems to lose interest if the other man don't wilt under his vague attacks. and he most defo needs to work on his accuracy, ive never seen a man miss a pretty slow target as much in my life
scored 114-114 very conservative on chilemba expecting bellews hot air shots and arm shots to be counted.pleasanty surprised they wernt.had bellew one behind with one round left backed draw at 33s lol
I think Bellew's problem was that he thought he was winning easily, so was coasting for most of the fight.
I was there last night and the general atmosphere was flat at the end, Bellew got on the ropes cheering trying to convince he'd won but no one was really buying it. Watching live is hard to score so I'll have to watch it back today and score properly. Personally, on the night my gut instinct was that Chilemba had nicked it by a round or 2. Tony started off well but in the middle rounds he seem to completely switch off and Chilemba started seriously outboxing him. The crowd saw this and it went very quiet because people were concerned, like being at football match and the other team scores, everyone goes quiet. Felt Tony had a strong last round but it wasn't quite enough to convince me at least that he'd won. I will say though, anyone has Chilemba winning by 4,5 or even 6 rounds is way out. Tony was poor but Chilemba hardly looked amazing either. Tony got lucky cause a defeat is so much worse than a draw. Needs to learn from this.
